"Camila! Wake up!" The brown eyed woman woke up to her wife's screams. Camila quickly sat up next to the scared woman and turned her bedside lamp on, gasping when she saw a big puddle of blood staining Lauren's sweat pants and the bed sheets.

"Fuck." Camila let out as she jumped out of bed and scooped Lauren into her arms. "Okay. You're gonna be okay." She tried to calm the crying woman down. Once she set Lauren down in the passenger seat, Camila ran to the other side of the car and hopped in, immediately speeding off to the hospital.

Camila tried to hold her tears in while she listened to the green eyed woman's whimpers and grunts of pain. Blinking her tears away, the brunette reached across the console and laid her hand on Lauren's seven month bump.

"Hang in there, little one." Camila whispered, continuing to speed down roads.

Two hours later, the tan girl walked into her wife's hospital room. Lauren looked up when she heard Camila softly close the door with sad eyes and a trembling lip. If Camila thought her heart was broken before, now she knew it was shattered.

She walked over to the side of the hospital bed and placed a little kiss on Lauren's temple. The green eyed woman's shoulders continued to shake as she quietly cried, staring down at their lifeless baby girl in her arms.

"Lauren. Look at me, baby." The chocolate eyed woman softly spoke. Lauren looked up at her wife with tears streaming down her cheeks. "This is not your fault," She began, knowing Lauren was blaming herself. "Do you understand me?" Camila asked, holding Lauren's pale face in her hands.

The crying woman closed her eyes and choked out a sob. "I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry, Camz." She weakly cried.

"Don't apologize. Please, don't blame yourself, baby. You couldn't do anything to have stopped this." Camila shakily begged.

"That's the problem. I c-couldn't help her." Lauren stuttered.

"No one could, baby girl. Things just happen and sometimes we don't know why." Camila whispered after she got into the big bed next to her wife and wrapped her arm around her, pulling the pale woman closer to her body. Lauren delicately laid their cold baby girl in Camila's arms. The brunette studied their baby's tiny fingers and her little button nose.

Camila leaned down and faintly placed a kiss on their daughter's small head. She turned her head to look at her wife and saw how hard Lauren was trying to hold her tears back. The tan woman wrapped her arm around her wife and pulled the inconsolable woman closer to her body. Burying her face in the crevice of Camila's neck, Lauren sobbed and let out all of her locked away emotions.

"Let it out, Lolo. It's okay. Everything's gonna be okay." Camila whispered into her wife's dark hair.

After a few minutes of Lauren's quiet cries, the pale woman looked up and turned her wife's face so she could look into her brown eyes. "It's okay to cry, Camila."

"But I-" She started.

"No, Camz. You don't have to be strong for me. Cry, it's okay. She's our baby, not just mine." Camila nodded, letting a few tears drip onto her cheeks.

"I love you, little one." The brown haired woman softly spoke to their still baby.

The two sad woman laid in that hospital bed for the rest of the night and next day, crying in each other's arms and comforting one another, always letting the other know that they were there for each other.

The next year had been so hard for the two women. Especially for Lauren who was constantly blaming herself for everything that had happened. But her wife was always there for her. Camila held Lauren and let the black haired girl lay in her arms and cry or she would just hold Lauren in silence, just so she knew someone was there for her. Two years after the miscarriage, Lauren and Camila decided to try for another baby.
