*A week later*

-Jene's P.O.V-

My kids know how to lie like hell.I know something wrong with CJ cause he won't answer his cellphone.I booked the first flight back to Atlanta.Roc walked in on me packing

"I'm sorry for whatever I did!"

I started laughing"What did you do?!"I raised an eyebrow

"Nothing."

"Mmmhmmm"I continued packing

"Where you going corral though?"

I took a deep breath."Cj in the hospital.And he won't answer the phone"

"What happened?"

"He got shot.Mel wouldn't tell me the whole story"I started to cry at the thought of loosing my son.Roc hugged me.

"Don't worry about we going to check on him"he started to pack and called Kaka and Ray.An hour later we was on the flying to Atlanta.It was along 15 hour flight.Once we landed the first place we went was to the hospital.The lady at the desk said he was in ICU and nobody was allowed to see him

"What you mean I can't see my own son?!"

"I'm sorry ma'am the girl that was here earlier said nobody was allowed to go back there"

"That's my son!I have birth to him and you telling me I can't see him?!"

Roc sighed and pulled out his ID "That's our son can we see him?!"

The nurse rolled her eyes and let us in the back.When I saw CJ i started to cry.I broke down and started to cry.My knees got weak.I couldn't even stand.I collapsed in Roc's arms crying.He's basically dead.He was on life support.They could pull the plug whenever.A tall man walked in."Are you his parents?"Roc nodded."Well he's not showing any progress.We can pull the plug when you say when."

I shot up "Hell nawl!If you pull the plug I will sue and press charges"

He threw his hands up in defense" I'm saying if he doesn't get Any better than its hospital policies then we have to let him go."Before I could say anything Mel walked through the door.I rushed over to her and popped er side the head."Why did you lie to me?!Your brother on his death bed and you said he okay!"

She stood there in shock "Why y'all here?"

"What you mean why we hear?Your brother is basically dead!Melody why did you lie?!"

He sighed and dropped her bag"Because I knew y'all would over react and come down here.Daddy would get back in the streets.I don't want that to happen.Everybody still after y'all!I just spent like 3 hours in the police office finna be charged with murder.Something ain't do!!"

Roc stood up"Lower your voice when you talking to your momma"

She let out a heavy breath"I don't care how old you are i still will whoop your ass!"I crossed my arms.

"Ma I'm sorry okay.I'm just trying to keep daddy and y'all safe and out the streets"

"It don't matter!You still should have-"We all stopped talking when we heard coughing.We turned around and saw CJ coughing and trying to breathe.A nurse came in and took the tube out his throat.

"Momma?Daddy?"I ran over and hugged him."How did I get here?"We all looked at Mel.

She sighed "We was making a drop and I forgot you said you forgot your gun and I sent you in there anyway and that nigga Chris and them set you up and shot you.They tried to kill you.I promise I didn't know it was going to happen.I'm soooo sorry CJ"she gave him a hug.He tried to hug back.

He sighed "How long I been here?"

"For about a week."The doctor said walking in with two police officers.Mel looked at them and rolled her eyes.She sat down in a chair.The two officers scolded Roc.He only smiled

"Its good to see you again Officer Wilson and Officer Brown"Roc laughed a little.They kept scolding him.Then turned to CJ

"Okay Mr.August can you tell us what happened?"

He sighed "The last thing I remember is my sister dragging me out the house and putting me in the car after that I blacked out"He lying straight through his teeth I can tell.

"Can you tell us where you was?"

Mel stood up again and put her hands on her hips and rolled her eyes.CJ shook his head"No.I think we was at some dude Chris house..Yea him..I think".

They both sighed."Do you own any weapons?"

"No"Lie

"So we can search your house and car?"

"Yes you can"I don't have anything to hide"

The two officers nodded and walked out.I made sure they were down the hallway until I spoke "Where do y'all keep all y'all guns and stuff then?"

"Drey keeps them since he old enough and the one with the gun permit."

I sighed and nodded."You should rest you look tired."

He sighed "I don't want to"

"But you are"Roc spoke up."We are going to stay until you get out the hospital."

He smiled a little and drifted off to sleep
