Kate P.O.V:

I stepped out of my police issued cruiser, and walked up to Espo and asked him, "what do we have today?." "We have Lexi Anderson that lives in Brooklyn." Said Espo. "Looks like a single gunshot wound to the knee, then a fatal shot to the heart." "Died around 12:00 to 1:30 based on the wounds." Said Lanie. Just as she was talking Castle walks up. "Hey guys!" "Brought you coffee."  said castle as he handed me the coffee. "Thanks Castle!" "No problem." he replied. "Ok let's get to work." I told everyone. "Looks like she was interrogated." Said Castle. "Doesn't look like there isn't any security cameras around here." Said Kevin. "Has their been any witnesses yet? " Asked castle. "No but I sent out uniforms to see if anybody saw anything, hopefully we'll get lucky." Said Kevin. "Ok well it looks like we're done here so let's get back to the precinct. "

Forty-Five Minutes Later:

Castle P.O.V:

We arrived at the precinct to start building our case. As we walked into the elevator, I told her, "I should get my own police cruiser." "Not in a million years!" Replied Kate. "You would drive around New York like a mad-man." "Well I'll think about it," I replied. "Why don't you ask Captain Gates and see what she thinks." said Kate. We got out of the elevator and walked up to the empty murder board. "Why don't we start by creating a time line." Said Kate as she wrote "Death Zone" by 12:00. "Hey Espo, got in contact with her family yet?" Asked Kate. "Just talked to them, should be on their way here." " Thanks Espo."  "Kevin, can you dig into Lexi's friends, maybe they know why Lexi was out so late." "On it," said Kevin As Kevin was walking away Castle said, Lexi's parents are here."  "Ok thanks Castle, Hey wanna come in and help me talk to the parents?"Kate asked. "Sure yeah." I replied

Kate P.O.V:

We walked into the meeting room where Lexi's Parents were waiting. "Hello Mr and Mrs Anderson, I'm detective Beckett, I'm sorry for your loss." "Do you catch the guy who did this to our daughter?"Asked Mr.Anderson. "No but we're trying our very best to find the suspect." I said sounding very worried. "So, do you know what Lexi was doing out that late at night." Castle Asked Mrs.Anderson. "No she never goes out that late, usually she is either stuck at work or at home working at home." Said Mrs.Anderson. "What did Lexi do for employment?" "She's a lawyer for a attorney company." He replied. "Does Lexi have any enemies?" Castle Asked. "No none, she wasn't that type of lawyer." She responded. "Thanks for your time and we will contact you if we get any leads." After I escorted Lexi's parents to the elevator Kevin walked up to me. "Hey Beckett, looks like we got lucky about a witness." "Great! Let's bring em' in."
