Kenzie:
"Bronson? Where'd your sister go?" MacKenzie asked Bronson. She tucked her light brown hair under her black snapback and took a seat next to Bronson.
"I believe she's using the bathroom," Bronson said in between puffs of his tuba.
"Ugh," Mackenzie huffed. "I gotta talk to her about Vicky."
Bronson smiled at her. "Just hold on Mackenzie. She'll be back soon." Bronson put his tuba down, got up and stretched.
Mackenzie sighed and headed towards the door. She grabbed the handle and twusted it open, reaveling the cold rain outside. She felt uneasy about this weather. Something inside told her to be cautious about today. While something else told her to be calm.
This rain was cold. Unlike the usual hot rain that would pour across Hawaii. This rain carried sadness... It carried a warning.
She turned around and looked in back into the room, her brother Kalei was no where to be seen. Where was he? She thought to herself. He must've gone to breakfast.
She shrugged it off and walked back inside and took her seat next to Bronson. "You alright?" he asked.
She leaned her head back. She couldn't shake off the feeling that something bad was about to happen. No matter how much she wanted to admit it, she didn't want to be thought of as weird by Bronson. Even if she was close to him. "I'm alright," she promised.
"You sure," Bronson pressed.
Mackenzie smiled, "Yeah. I'm alright. Hey did you see Kalei?"
Bronson looked around the room. "I thought he was still here. I guess not."
Mackenzie smiled more, trying to keep a happy face. "I'll go check the kitchen." She got up and walked towards the rooms in the back of the band room.
While passing one of the practice rooms, Mackenzie looked in and saw Taylen. She remembers the first time she saw and met Taylen.
While going to middle school, Mackenzie remembers her always being there, even though she was in the high school. There was something strange about her, but Mackenzie could never figure her out.
She mainly kept to herself, always mumbling when spoken too. But she seemed really loud to those she was close too.
She smiled softly thinking about how long they've been friends, when she heard someone scream.
