"Are you sure your fit to attend the gathering tonight?" Cloudstar loomed over his daughter who was dead earlier in the day. "Yes! I told you, I am not missing my first gathering." I only wish dawnpaw could be here too. She added silently. She gulped down a vole and relaxed with her sister for the rest of the day. Once it was almost moonhigh cloudstar gave the signal for the clan to follow. After a couple of brisk licks Moonbreeze bid farewell to her kits before returning to the Warriors den. The cats raced to the great oaks. Smokeypaws nose was filled with mingled scents. She saw a group of apprentices and padded over followed by rainbowpaw. "First gathering?" Asked a sleek silver she-cat. Before smokey paw could answer a tom replied. "Don't worry, it's our first as well." The group of cats shared names, and clans. Smokey paw was talking to a dark windclan she-cat named quickpaw who was asking her about her injuries. Rainbowpaw was talking to the same Tom. His name was reedpaw. Though he had broad shoulders and powerful hind legs, he wasn't as scary as she thought. He had a light ginger pelt. He locked eyes with smokeypaw then both looked away. Her pelt grew hot. What am I thinking! He is from riverclan. She broke from the group and found her place near the Rock and settled down. The leaders called for the gathering to start. Emberstar began the gathering. It was all basically the same, prey is running, fox scents. She turned her attention back to reed paw, he was looking at the leaders. She snapped her gaze to cloudstar. "Prey is running good, we did chase off a fox, as well as three new apprentices. Smokeypaw, Rainbowpaw, and mercurypaw." The clans yowld their names, Smokeypaw felt her pelt growing hot. Once the leaders finished, the clans said goodbye then headed back to their own territories. Smokeypaw began to limp. She tried her best to hide it. Blazefur padded next to her, she let her lean on her. "Thank you blazefur." She nodded and licked smokey paws ear. Mercurypaw padded next to her. "That was great! Those trees were so big!" Rainbowpaw padded close to the two apprentices. They chatted about their experiences, rainbowpaw was eying her.
