The Life of Mew •Book One•

Presence is Unwanted

Mew floats and giggles in the air while looking for something fun to play with. She spots three electric mice running around, laughing. She then swoops down and hovers over of a Pichu, Pikachu, and a Raichu. "Hello!" Mew chirps to the electric mice. The Pokemon stop what they were doing and looked up to see Mew hovering above them. They're ears twitched in delight and spoke "Hello!" The Pichu chirped back, waving it's small arm. "What are you guys playing?" Mew asks the three tilting her head to the side. "We were playing tag." Raichu says smiling. "Would you like to play with us?" Pikachu asks with a closed eyed smile. "I'd love to!" Mew's eyes shine with delight. The electric mice Pokemon continued what they were doing while Mew tags along. Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu split up so Mew couldn't catch them all at once. Mew decided to go after Pikachu and follows where Pikachu went. Pikachu runs, dodging the roots that were pulled out of the ground and fallen branches, trying to lose Mew in the process. Mew lost sight of the yellow Pokemon and stops, only to hover and turn a full 360 degrees, looking for Pikachu but with no luck. So she decides to blindly look for him or in any luck, Pichu or Raichu. When Mew comes close to a clearing, the three mice jump in front of Mew making her stop and hover. "Found you!" Mew perks up at the sight of the three mice. The mice looked worried and looked at one another then back to Mew. "Be careful Mew. There's a dark Pokemon up ahead that doesn't like the presence of any Pokemon." Raichu says worried. Mew tilts her head with concern. "If I were you I'd turn back. Our friend didn't listen and came back with injuries." Pikachu said quietly. Pichu starts to tear up and clings to Raichu. Mew thinks and looks at the clearing then back at the mice. "I know you are concerned but what Pokemon doesn't like the presence of others?" The three looked at each other and finally Pichu spoke "Mewtwo." Mew is surprised at this, she heard about him and the humans. Raichu snaps Mew out of her thoughts "We need to go home, it's getting late" Mew nods, watching the three walk off towards their home. Mew hovers there in thought and looks back at the clearing. 'Mewtwo...' She think and floats closer and sits on a branch. 'I want to meet you.....Mewtwo.' Mew slowly curls up into a ball and closes her eyes and drifts off into a deep sleep.
