Right now, Kaine and I were at Cara's. Denise had linked her mind with mine when she found out where Dare was, but she was worried. For whatever reason, I don't know. I guess I'll find out soon enough. Denise had arrived at Kaine's house, before shifting us to Cara's house, her usually smiling face tighten with worry. But I'm not too worried Dare. First, My brother is old, and he've went through many things. Second, he's a good fighter. Even without his powers, he could kick serious ass. Which leads me to believe that Mictian has something to do with this. I had briefed Jace on what was happening and he said that he'll get here as soon as possible.

"Alright, I have already told Denise that Dare is being held in the Winter Palace. To go or not to go is your own choice." Cara said as she gave us each a glass of water. Nodding my thanks, I took a sip.

"Why won't we go, he's my mate, of cause we must save him!" Denise replied, clearly agitated by what Cara had said.

"Its where the powers live. Ari is the person in the prophecy who is going to wake them. Make the link." 

Well well, what do you know, I was right. Mictian is involved.

Denise frowned as realisation dawned on her.

"It doen't matter. Dare is my brother, Ww're going." I piped up, silencing all of them before they could protest. Suddenly, Cara sat up.

"Your friend, the shape shifter is here." She waved her hand and Jace appeared, looking slightly distorted. I grinned, and immediately felt Kaine's lips on mine. 

"I like it when you smile." Kaine murmured, his lips against mine. I smiled, but pull away when someone, *cough* Jace *cough*, interrupted us.

'Ahem." Jace cleared his throat and smiled at us innocently when Kaine turned to glare.

"Alright children, play nice." Denise clapped her hands to get our attention before turning to Cara.

"Can you get us to the Winter Palace?"

"Yeah, but it's going to be very dangerous." Cara stood up and took a book off her shelf before passing it to Ari. "This is the book which records everything in the domain. Okay, quick lesson. I would advice you guys to read it before braving the Winter Palace. It will be very cold, hence the name, but you guys will be fine, since you can regulate your temperature. But thick clothing is advice, guns will not work there, so bring swords or knifes. The rest should be in the book, so that should be in." 

"Wait, you haven't tell us how to get back from the Winter Palace. I mean, we just plan to grab Dare and come back. So how are we supposed to come back?" I asked, confused. It's not like we're going on a vacation and we can leave when we want it.

"Well, that is for you guys to figure out. I can only sent you in, not get you out, so think carefully." Cara said ominously, kinda like people foretelling the future and they speak in riddles. Yeah, and its pissing me off.

"It dosen't matter, Dare is my brother, I'm going, but if you guys don't want to I totally understand." I said looking at the others. 

Kaine immediately stood up and pulled me into his arms. "Like hell you're going without me. I'm your mate, and I'll go." I smiled at his words before stealing a kiss.

"Well, I'm going. You never know what you're going to find there, and its safer with one more person." Jace nodded at me.

"So it's decided, we're all going, so if you don't mind. " I motion my hand towards her. 

"Follow me." She lead us to secret chamber and when we all came in, the door closed itself with a thud. Kinda like a horror movie. The walls have  diagrams on them, spells of dead languages and there was a circle drawn in the middle of the floor with salt.

"Stand inside the circle. I'm going to do a spell to send all of you over. No matter what, stay in the circle."  Cara warned us. We all nodded in understanding before doing what she told us to.

Cara placed candles in the four direction, North, South, East and West. We watched as she pricked her finger and drip them on the candles before promptly setting the candles alight. Meanwhile, I placed my hands around Denise shoulders, giving her comfort. Poor girl must be worried out of her mind because of my brother and frankly, so am I. Cara closed her eyes and chanted under her breathe, her voice slowly getting louder and wind started to blow. 

Damn, but this is creepy, I thought to myself.

As if hearing my thoughts, Kaine pulled me into his arms and I leaned back against him. Abruptly, Cara opened her eyes.

"Its time." And with that our surrounding change and I buried my face against Kaine's chest. 

"Oomph!" That was the only warning I had before Kaine and I suddenly landed on snow.

We have reached the Winter Palace.

Hiya peeps! How are you guys! Good I hope, anyways, gonna keep this short. This chapter is a turning point for Ari and her group.
