CHAPTER ONE: FOX
The young fox ran deeper into the forest, the group of men following closely behind her. She wouldn't stop for a second, she had to run as fast as possible. One of the men drew a large object then "BANG." It happened so suddenly that she didn't have time to move. Her leg had been grazed and she was bleeding badly.
She limped under a thorn bush where the space was too small for the men to follow. "Dammit!" yelled one of them. She laughed softly in triumph and limped into a clearing where she could die peacfully. This was the end, she was bleeding out slowly. She chuckled lowly, remembering her brother, he was probably dead too. She took a deap breath and let gravity lay a little heavier than it used to be. "Goodbye cruel world."
CHAPTER 1.5: WOLF
The young wolf walked slowly down the path. He was independent now, no more pack. He got what he wanted, but he felt so alone. "You will die out there, young one." he repeated his father's words in his head, "Most that leave do. Do not be foolish." He wasn't foolish, the wolf was older now and he could do whatever he thought fit for himself. He wasn't a pup anymore, he didn't want to be under the athority of the pack his whole life, but it was getting colder as the sun set and he missed his family's warmth.
"BANG" the noise ran through to forest. It must've been more humans. They weren't too much of a problem since a pack of wolves could take them out easily, but if they crossed a fox or a rabbit it was done for.
He soon found what the humans had killed, or what they had tried to kill, it was a fox. She was bleeding into the snow and breathing heavily. The wolf walked slowly up to the fox and looked her over. She was on the verge of death, easy prey, but something was keeping him from killing the fox. He nudged her with his nose, and she flinched back.
CHAPTER 1.75: FOX
The fox felt something cold hit the back of her neck. She flinched, thinking it was the men again. "Hey, are you okay?" she heard a low voice. She didn't say anything, hoping who or what ever it was would leave her to die. "Fox, are you okay? Please do something." She decided to try to get up, just to get who ever it was to leave. "J-Just Le-eave me a-alo-one." she stumbled.
When she opened her eyes she saw what the voice belonged to. It was a wolf, two feet taller than the small fox. She was about to say something, then she fell sideways and onto the wolve's snout. She jumped off, "I am so sorry, I-I didn't mean--" She stumbled again, this time the wolf caught her.
"Do you need help?" the wolf asked. "No, I am fine." the fox said. The wolf sat the fox down next to a tree and began to inspect her wound. "You don't seem to be bleeding much anymore." he said, mostly to himself. "I'm really fine, I can handle myself." the fox continued. "I don't even know your name." The wolf stood silent for a second, then said. "Lukas, my name is Lukas." the fox looked up, "Onyx." she said.
