I wake up to a bright light shining in my eyes, and a strange thumping in my head. At first I think that it is my sister trying to wake me up to show me something before she goes to swim, but then when I open my eyes I find myself looking into a bright sun through the leaves of a brightly colored tree. Where am I? I think to myself. I look around and I see my three best friends lying next to me, Kayla, Tony, and Hunter. Well their pretty much my only friends in the world or wherever I am now. The thumping in my head only gets worse as I try to stand up. Eventually I just give up and lie back down. It doesn't take me to long before I fall asleep from exhaustion.
When I wake up again, the others seem to have been awake for awhile. They are gathered around a little fire made of twigs and leaves. They are talking when they notice me get up. The Hunter says, " Well finally you're awake. You've been out for hours." I notice right away that they have tiny little Madiline cookies in their hands. I shoot a questioning look to Kayla who just points to her bag which is sitting across from her next to Hunter. When I look at him he just says, "Hey man don't judge stress makes me eat a lot. I smile then I look at Tony who is the only one who hasn't spoken yet. When I ask him if he is okay, he replies by saying that he twisted his ankle and can't walk. I comfort him and tell him that we'll stay here until he can walk again. "In the mean time get some rest. I'll go searching for food in the morning. After all we apparently have a stress eater here with us." Hunter smiles apologetically and then we all go to sleep. When I wake up I find myself starting at the tip of a spear just above my nose.
