Usagi 95
>>>>CHAPTER 95<<<<
>>>>Thank You, Sensei<<<<
"Nagato!"
After his death, Nagato never thought he would get to walk the world again, nor did he really want to. In death the man had finally found peace, the many wrongs he had made during his time on earth finally drifting from his mind. He was able to rest at ease knowing people like Usagi and Naruto remained, people who could do what he couldn't.
Peace. It was all Nagato had ever really wanted, yet as he was forced back to the world of the living, he instantly knew; what was going on around him was not peace.
His old teammate, Itachi Uchiha had also been summoned alongside him, and seeing as Nagato's body was just as thin and frail as it had been prior to his death, the black haired man helped Nagato, holding up his sickly frame as they walked together through the forest, distant sounds of war audible as they moved.
Upon hearing a voice call out, the two stopped walking.
Nagato had sensed her chakra, but he thought she would have been too busy fighting to notice his.
"Usagi."
The red haired teen stopped running as she stood a metre away from the man who had taught her so much. She was a little out of breath, but regardless, she bowed down, her eyes squeezed shut as she was finally able to speak everything she had withheld.
Finally, she could say everything she had wanted to say. Finally, she could breathe.
"Thank you!" She began. "You... You were such an amazing teacher... it's thanks to you I'm strong... I... I can protect them, my family... my friends... Konan..."
Kindly, the man smiled. She was speaking rather fluently, though her voice was wavering. Was she on the verge of tears? There was no reason for her to cry though, he was already proud of her. She had already accomplished so much.
"I appreciate everything you did..." Usagi continued. "I won't let you down... Ame will be a peaceful, powerful village."
He couldn't have been any more pleased with her words. "Raise your head." The once red haired man said, his voice gentle. His hair had faded to white after exerting every single drop of chakra he had, it had been his final move, bringing back all the people whose lives he had ended. He had brought back Usagi too.
"Thank you." She repeated as their eyes met. He granted her a second chance at life. There was no way she would waste it.
She would make all his wishes a reality, and she would live her life to the fullest.
He was grateful to hear the words, but he really should be the one thanking her. Even after his lies and mistakes, she was still so forgiving.
Before their nostalgic reunion as teacher and student could continue, a few other people made their presence known.
There stood Naruto and B, Naruto's body cloaked with a bright orange chakra which resembled that of a blazing flame. He had done it, he had finally learnt to use the Nine Tails power as his own.
The smile that grew on Usagi's face as she saw him standing tall, and the huge grin that grew on Naruto's as he saw his redheaded friend...
Usagi was a sensor type, so she had known Naruto was on his way, but she had not sensed this amazing change in his chakra.
For Nagato, it felt like just yesterday he last saw Naruto. To him, it was just yesterday. He had died after all, not experiencing any of the time that had happened from the moment of his death to the moment they were presently in now.
