TROYES POV!

I clicked my phone on and checked the time

'10:36' I looked at it in disbelief, the bus came at 10:42 and there was no way I getting there in time. I sat on the edge of my bed and sighed, contemplating my options.

'You could get that cute guy from yesterday's bus' The voice inside my head whispered to me. I smiled but then shook that though out of my mind. He was really cute, like really cute. And I don't even know anything about him. I sighed and flopped back onto bed. I knew that if I got to the bus stop within the next 20 minutes I could catch the 333 to library and walk from there. I went to grab my phone to check the time, '10:43'

PINNNNNNGGGGGGGGG!

UNKNOWN NUMBER- you missed the bus.

I smirked knowing that the cute boy was texting me. I smiled in though that he thought about me. Kinda weird but I was still happy.

I texted him for a while and then sighed. I had missed the other bus too. I bit my lip in thought and then pulled off my shoes. I tucked my feet back into the bed opened up Instagram.

PINNNNNNGGGGGGGGG!

JOSH MEIRS- Yo Troye! Im having a party this fine day that is upon us. My place 9pm-3am. You can +1 or +none. Hope to see you there.

I looked at the text, I had known Josh for about 3 years. Since the start of University and to me it seemed like he was ALWAYS throwing parties. But that was fine, because I had no strict rules so I went to most of them. I thought of texting Connor, the cute boy whos name I had just found out. But then I thought against it. He seemed a bit too innocent and I didn't really want to invite him to some party after I've known him for two days.

I thought about what I had to do today. I did have school but I just wasn't ready to learn and I hadn't been 'sick' in about 7 months so I rung up the office and told them I was going to stay home as I had come down with a case of 'the flu'. After the call I smiled and went into my living room. I poured myself a glass of juice and turned on the TV.

I sat down and watched a few episodes of Keeping up with the Kardashians. It was probably the worst show on TV but I do love the scandals. I was also reminded that my life was not like that and it made me pretty happy. I couldn't deal with all the rumours, lights and lies.

I looked at my hands, they were covered with a black dirt. I shook them in disgust as I walked over to the sink to wash them. I cleaned and dried them and sat down. I picked up the remote and my hands got covered in the black dirt again. I furrowed my brows and wiped it on the couch. I picked I up again and nothing had changed. I sighed as I realised it was dying and it needed to be replaced. I got up from the couch and put my shoes on. I shoved my wallet into my back pocket and walked out the door. I didn't take notice of the remote brand which was both bad and good.

CONNORS POV

I got off the bus and walked up to the store. I opened the door and waved to my boss as I walked into the backroom to go put on my shirt and put my bag away. I opened my locker and shoved my bag in it. I grabbed my blue button up shirt and pulled it over my head. I threw my other t-shirt back into the locker and closed it. I walked out and said hi to a few co-workers before standing behind the desk.

Business went on as usual until I was waiting behind the counter flicking off some bits of paper I had scratched off a label.

"What are you doing?" I heard a faintly familiar voice say to me

"Sorry" I muttered lifting my head up, looking at the owner of the voice, it belonged to Troye.

"TROYE!" I said excidtely, "I mean, Troye." I corrected myself, making sure I didn't sound like an over excited little kid.

"Heh, I already have you missing me" He laughs cockily

"Shut up" I say quietly "Anyway, you couldn't have known I worked here so you must be here to buy something" I tell him

"Your right, Franta. My remote starting shedding black dirt and it was so gross"

"Ah, seems like it had dermalogititus" I say professionally

"really?!" he says astounded

"No Troye, the plastic is probably disintegrating.

"Hahaha, no. Im not happy" he huffs in defeat.

"Anyway, did you take note of what remote brand it was?" I ask him

"Shit" he mutters

"So, im taking that as a no?"

"Yeahhh" he trails off

"Don't worry, we can look for one that looks like it and you can try it out and if it doesn't work, just bring it back" I say walking over to the plpace we keep the remotes

"Sooo, I didn't know you worked at a Technology Ted's" he laughs

"Yeah, well I haven't spoken to you much, so that's to be expected." I laughI say as i bend down to grab a remote out of the cabinet.

TROYES POV

So, you know how earlier i said that forgetting to check the remote was both bad and good. Well, here's why. It was bad because it caused Connor trouble but it was also great because i got to talk to him and when he bent down to check for different remotes i got a perfect view of his ass. Like I'm not a creep but i cant help it. That boy has a good booty. After about 10 minutes of staring at remotes and guessing, we found one that was like mine and was made by the same company so we hoped for the best and i bought it.

"Here is your change and your receipt" Connor says handing me the change, his hand brushing against mine gently. I look at him and smile before shaking my head and continuing on. I looked at the receipt as i walked out of the store. On the bottom beneath my total cost was a scribbled note.

'188 Pacific Parade- 7pm tonight. See you there- xx Connor' I sighed heavily realised i had a party 2 hours after that. Perfect, Connor would be my +1 and there was nothing he could do about it.

I grabbed out my phone and opened up our conversation

'Cant wait' i hit send and start my walk back home. I gran the receipt out of my back pocket and look at his writing again. It was weird because i thought i was the calm and cool one out of the two of us, but in that store i was freaking out that i was going to say something embarrassing. Dear god, i seem to be so cool but with Connor my facade was slipping away. But i kind of liked it.
