His Sister's Keeper

Calista's POV -

I leave Bellamy standing there and make my way over to Finn. "Hey. Can we talk for a minute?", I ask him and he nods his head. We walk away from the others and Finn looks at me. "What's wrong?" "What's wrong?! Are you seriously asking that? What happened between you and Clarke?", I snap back at him and he looks at the ground shamefully. "I never thought I would see Raven ever again." "And you didn't think about telling Clarke about her?" "I'm sorry, it just happened." "I could punch right now, you know that?", I sneer at him, "Finn you have to make a decision. Who shall it be? Raven or Clarke? You should take your time and think about this!", I say and walk away. I start to look for Octavia. I wonder where she is. I haven't seen her since we were on our way to the pod. I look everywhere for her but she's nowhere to be found. "Hey Bellamy!", I call for him and he turns around with a worried expression. "Please, tell me you have seen Octavia", he says and my face falls. "No, I'm looking for her, too. I can't find her. Okay, we do it again. You go and search the drop ship, I get Clarke and we search the tents again", I say and walk to look for Clarke. I find her in her tent. "Hey Clarke. You're still awake?", I ask. "Yeah, it's hard to sleep when 300 people are going to die." "Have you seen Octavia?" "No, but it's Octavia. She's probably chasing butterflies", she jokes but I shake my head. "No, we already checked the camp. She isn't here. Bellamy's checking the drop ship again. Will you help me checking the tents?", I ask and the blonde girl nods. We start to look into every tent but Octavia keeps missing. "She's not here", I say to Bellamy who's coming out of the drop ship. He looks devastated. "Hey, we'll find her, okay? Get some guys to leave the camp. I'll be right back." "Thank you", he says and turns away to call for a group to leave.
I make my way into the drop ship and up to the second level. I check my gun. Five bullets left. I put it back into my boot along with a knife. I take my jacket and put it on. I pull my quiver over my head and my bow across my chest and go back out of the drop ship over to the others. "Arm up. We're not coming back without her!", I hear Bellamy order and everyone around grabs a weapon and gets ready to leave. "We need a tracker", Bellamy says when he turns to me and I nod. "Finn, get out here!", I yell for my brother. Then I see Jasper slowly walking towards the weapons. "Jasper", I stop him, "You haven't left the camp since we brought you back. You don't have to do this." "Yes, I have to, Cali", he says with a shaky voice. "We need all the people we can get", Bellamy voice booms up behind me. Jasper nods and grabs a weapon. I'm not sure if that's the right thing. "Finn, we're leaving!", I call for him again and finally he comes out of his tent. Looks like Raven has cut his hair. We walk towards the gate when I can hear gasps from the group. "Hey, do you see that? It's beautiful", one kid says and points up to the sky. I look up and realize what he's looking at. "It didn't work! They didn't see the flares!", Raven says in a matter-of-fact. "A meteor shower tells you that?", Bellamy asks confused. "It's not a meteor shower! It's a funeral! Hundreds of body being returned to earth. That's what it looks like from the other side", I say with my eyes still at the sky when Raven pipes up again. "This is all your fault!", she screams and throws herself at Bellamy but I get in between them and hold her back. "I helped you to find the radio", he snaps back. "Yeah, after you jacked it away from my pod!" "He knows", I say looking at Raven before I look at him, "And now he has to live with it." He looks away with guilt in his eyes before he speaks up, "All I know is, that my sister is still out there. And I'm going to find her. You coming or what?" "Raven, you need to fix the radio. I know you can do that", I say. "Without a transmitter it's no use", she says when I get an idea. "Clarke! The Art-Supplie-Store! Go and have a look if there's something useful." "Looks like you're coming with me", Raven says to Clarke and she nods. "Come on, Finn. Let's go", I say and turn around to catch up with Bellamy. "Hey, We're gonna find her. I promise", I try to reassure him. He looks at me with sad eyes before he slightly nods. "Finn!", I call back and he finally starts to catch up with us.
After hours of walking my head is spinning and my feet are hurting. I could need a break but we have to find Octavia. My vision starts to spin in circles and I slightly stumble. "Hey, you okay?", I hear Bellamy ask with concern. "Yes, I just need something to drink. Where's Finn?", I say and we make a short stop to drink something. "You shouldn't have come with us", Bellamy marks while Finn hands me the canteen with water. "The hell! She's my best friend. She would have done the same for me", I snap back and Bellamy holds up his hands in defeat. I chuckle and Finn takes the water canteen back. "Let's get moving." After some more time we reach a steep hill. "Hey, over here!", John Mbege yells and we all rush over to him. "Found something?", I ask and he points down the hill to a small bush. "Is that hers?", he asks but it's too far away for me to recognize it. "Rope", Bellamy orders and Jasper hands him the rope. Bellamy walks to a tree and ties the rope around it. "What are you doing?", Finn asks when he reaches us. "I need the rope to get back up the hill", Bellamy answers, "Flashlight." He starts to make his way down the hill to the small bush. "It's hers! I'm going all the way down", he informs us and goes down the rest of the hill. I grab the rope and start to walk down to him when Finn grabs my arm "Calista..." "I'm not going back Finn. It's hers, that means she went this hill down", I say and with that I make my way down to Bellamy. When I reach the end of the rope I let go and run down the rest of the hill and Bellamy catches me because it's hard to slow down yourself. "Thank you", I say and start to investigate the ground. I notice the blood on a rock and crouch down. "Bellamy, here!", I say and he bends down next to me. "Probably Octavia's", he says bitterly and eventually the others join us. "There are footsteps. Someone else was here", Bellamy says and points out in front of us. "The footsteps are going deeper this way", Finn pipes up and Bellamy looks confused. "Whoever it was carried her", I say and slowly walk forwards to have a closer look. "If they took her she's alive. Like when they took me", Jasper marks and we get up to our feet and follow the footsteps. After a while we reach something like a boundary. Skeletons are hanging down from branches and torches every once in a while. It looks very scary. "I don't speak Grounder. But I'm pretty sure this means 'Keep out'", Finn announces and the first ones of the group start to panic. "I'm out", one of them says. "Me too", another one. "I'm going back", the next one. "Go back if you want. My sister, my responsibility", Bellamy mutters and starts walking. "I'd walk through hell to find her", Jasper says determined and follows Bellamy. "I'm sure we already did", Finn remarks and looks at me. Together with a few others who stayed we walk through this place which looks like the backyard of hell. The next day already started and we all are following Finn who keeps looking for the track. I catch up with Bellamy who seems to lose his hope more and more with every step we take. "I'm not going back without her!", I say to him and he forces a smile. "Why are you doing this for her?" "She's my best friend. We shared a cell the last 10 months. I killed two guards to steal medicine for her. My best friend took the fall for a crime he didn't commit. And I think I actually start to become good friends with her brother. I can't leave her alone", I say and see Bellamy smiling at me. "Thank you for all of that!"
