“I. Can’t. Run this fast!” Hoodie exclaims boldly and rests himself against a tree next to an old house. It seemed to be abandoned, the roof shingles falling apart, aged walls cracking, and shattered windows gave it the appearance. The other boy turns around to see him standing there. “Shhh…” Masky muttered under his breathe and peeks out from behind a large, feeble tree. “Let’s check this place out..” Masky replies in a whisper and saunters into the broken down cabin. Masky inspects the chalet, but nothing suspicious appears to be left behind in the quarters, very aphotic and the only thing left lingering is the lonely feeling.
“Are we staying here?” Hoodie inquired softly and walked up next to the white masked boy, with his umbrage eyes and onyx lips. “Yeah, there’s a mattress in the other room from last time we all camped here.” He replies and relaxes a bit, “It’s nearly one in the morning so we will have to go to sleep soon. Tomorrow we have to meet up with everyone.” He says bluntly and returns into the bedroom, the cerulean paint chipping off the walls. Hoodie quickly follows, his shoes scuttling across the ground. Masky sits on the edge of the bed and pulls his mask over his head and sets it on the mahogany table beside the bed. He blows the dust off the top of the drawer and smiles a little bit, finally relaxed in a temporary home somewhere. Hoodie takes off his xanthous sweatshirt and lays it down in the corner.
“Masky, where am I going to sleep? There’s only one mattress..” he questioned and put his hands in his pockets nervously. “Here with me. It’s a queen sized bed.” He explained, “I mean, if that’s alright with you.” He continued and Hoodie’s eyes widened abruptly. So many thoughts ran through his mind, which none of them he would like to share out loud. “Oh, no no, its fine with me!” he stuttered out quickly while kicking off his shoes into a dark crook. He stood facing the chipped wall for a few seconds to make the redness in his flushed cheeks dissipate.
Masky moved beside the white sheets and organized the pillows how he liked them positioned. “Aren’t you coming over?” He questioned over to Hoodie, who seemed to be straying away in the corner for a while. “Oh, yeah..” he says shakily and shuffles over to the bed. Hoodie slumps down onto the bed, resting his head gently onto the pillow.
“It’s been so long since we’ve actually had somewhere to sleep at night.” Masky chimed with a smile parting from his lips. “Yeah, it’s nice being somewhere where I feel like I don’t have to be on the run constantly. Although it is kinda scary out here.” Hoodie adds in. “Don’t be afraid Hoodie.” Masky replies and looks over at him with a slight smile. “Remember, I’m always here with you.” He says proudly and kisses his partners lips softly.
