Chapter 8 - Chase the Nerd

Today I came into school with a smile plastered on my face. There was a picture of Chase at 14 on everyone's lockers. HE WAS A NERD!!! He had the glasses and everything.

He had just entered school and saw nothing. Really? This guy is oblivious to everything around him.

"Hey. What the fuck is this?!" He yelled turning to find me.

I immediately turned and ran. Bad idea.

"Hey!!" He yelled chasing me.

I'm in deep shit.

I ran as fast as I could but since I was as fast as a snail, that didn't last long. He was right behind me and ready to jump. Here's my chance.

Chase jumped as a turned the corner, and the best part was he face planted the wall.

"Ya bitch!" He shouted as I ran away laughing.

Now I have to avoid him the rest of the day. This isn't going to be easy.

I found Jayden and Lily so we headed to class. God a hate Science. I don't care about plant cells. When am I going to need to know how to label a plant cell.

Then Chase walked in with Jake. Omg, I forgot he was in this class. Just my luck. I think he's in my English class too.

"Sarah?" Jayden said waving his hand in front of my face.

"Oh....hmm" I mumbled still looking like a little kid who saw the boogeyman.

"What's up? You look like your about to shit yourself" he laughed.

"Um remember the prank I told you about, and then the chase with Chase?" I asked him.

"Oh yeah" he answered.

"Well he's right there and he is going to kill me" I said biting my head into his shoulder.

"No he won't. I'll protect you" he said making a superman pose.

"MY HERO!" I squealed, sarcasm clear in my voice.

The teacher then entered the class room and shushed us.

He took the register, then started to teach us.

Now we are learning about animal cells. Whyyyyy?

Me and Lily walked to English since her class was next to mine. Jayden had P.E so he said he would meet us later.

Lily soon found Jake and left me. What an amazing friend. Note the sarcasm.

"Guess I'll just head into class" I mumbled opening the door.

I took my normal seat at the back corner of the classroom. I always sit in the corner because the teachers would never ask me questions, plus nobody else ever sat here.

That is until someone took a seat next to me.

"Hey babe" the guy said with a smirk.

I knew exactly who it was and I soon cringed at the nickname.

"What do you want jerk" I answered not bothering to lift my head.

"To say that your gonna pay for your stunt this morning" he said seriously.

I took this moment to look up. He wasn't smirking or winking. He wasn't even joking. Damn I'm in deep shit.

"Oh yeah?" I challenged him. What the hell am I thinking.

"You trying to challenge me Johnson?" He said now putting on his famous smirk.

"I might be" I answered with a stern look.

"Your so cute" he said putting his arm around me and ruffling my hair. 

"Agh!" I groaned removing his arm for around my shoulder.

"This is going to be one long ass English lesson" I mumbled to myself.

The teacher soon walked in and explained to us that we were doing a paired project. Agh!!

"Alex your with Jason." Miss started.
"Jessica with mason, and Chase with.....Sarah" she said smiling as the bell went for lunch.

No freaking way!

Chase's POV

Right now it was lunch time and I went into the canteen.

Nobody I knew was here yet so I went to get food instead of looking like a loner. Then I spotted everyone, but they were on Sarah's table. This is odd.

I grabbed a chair and put it at the table.

"What's everyone doing here?" I asked gaining everyone's attention.

"Nothing" Tori said sweetly. Now I know something is up.

"Hmm" I said not convinced at all.

Everyone soon stared talking, then I felt someone tap my shoulder.

"Hey can I talk to you?" She asked awkwardly with a little smile.

"Sure babe" I replied with a smirk.

She cringed while I got up and followed her to her locker.

"What's up?" I asked her.

"I wanted to say sorry......about that" she said pointing at my face.

"It's fine" I winked.

Turns out after I face planted the floor I got a nose bleed and grazed my cheek.

"Oh....okay" she said with a giggle.

"So, my house or yours?" I asked her. Then soon regretted it because of how it sounded.

"What!?" She screamed.

"I meant for the project" I said scratching the back of my neck "do you want to do it at my house or yours?" I asked with a smirk.

"My house after school?" She asked with a smile.

"Okay then, your house it is" I winked.

"Whatever jerk" she said walking back into the canteen.

Now all that's left is to get her back later.

I was about to ride to my house when I saw Sarah leave the school doors. I waited to see if she had a ride then realised she didn't. Might as well give her a ride since I'll just be waiting for her at her house anyway.

"Wanna ride" I asked following her on my bike"

"I don't like bikes" she retorted walking faster.

"And I don't like waiting. Jump on babe" I smirked.

"Look, I said no ok. I'll get the bus" she said not bothering to look at me.

What's her problem.

"Why don't you want to get on the bike?" I asked sincerely. I knew there was something behind this.

"I jut don't okay. I don't like them. I'll see ya later" she said running to the bus and getting on.
