I wasn't sure what happened between me and Marco, but it was okay...I guess. I knew something was gonna go wrong. I mean we ran away, how can nothing go wrong when we run away from home. No one has ever treated me like how he does. Not Tom, not Oscar, it's just, he is difference... Very different. He answers everything, nothing has ever come to my attention like how he does. I guess it's because I knew Marco since I was 14. I just can't believe my moms trying to break us apart.
Marco buried his face in the crook of my neck. He'd gotten a job, but it means he's gone alot of the time.
"I missed you." He said kissing my neck. "I missed you too." I said putting down my book. He pulled me into his lap. We kissed passionately for a while. Nothing bad seems to be happening.
Then we heard a loud knock on the door.
"Open up!" A strong voice demands.
We stay quiet. "Please, they're probably in a hotel...somewhere." I heard my mother's voice. It sounds scared, scared I wasn't coming home. We've been here for over two months, I thought she'd given up.
I look at Marco. His hands release me and he goes to make spaghetti.
I open the door. My mother's face was softer than usual. Her eyes filled with worried and happiness.
"How many people are we feeding?" Marco asked as my mother shooed the guards, leaving: Marco's parents and mine.
"Four others." I say leading them in.
They all hug me with joy/comfort.
"Where have you two been?" Marcos mom asked. "Here." I say knowing we're in trouble. "Why?" My mother asked.
Our dad's sit down and watch TV.
"I didn't want to go home, I wanted to stay with Marco." I said feeling tears form and feeling a tightening in my throught. "But you had to, Star. You still do." She said with a sweet tone. "I will one day," I said. They looked at each other.
"Dinners ready." Marco said.We all sat at the table, Marco was closest to the door, I was closest to my room, my mom by me, his mom by him, and our dad's by our mom's. They told us about how they looked high and low. How it was all over the news. They noticed I've taken a liking to bluejeans and t-shirts -something I was currently wearing.
"You know you have to come back, Star, after tonight." My mother said.
"I can't do that." I said faintly. Everyone was silent. "Why not?" She asked consered. I looked at Marco who was ready to bolt. "Because it's too late for an abortion." I said.
He ran out the door as our dad's chased him. I got up and was going to bed to my bedroom.
"How old is it?" Marco's mom asked. "Four months." I said feeling my stomach. "Star." My mother said. "You can stay here, but Marco will be in trouble." She said. "No. He will not be." I said demandingly. "He will be the new king of Mewni. Our baby boy will be the Prince. I want you to treat him will be treated with respect, am I understood?" I snapped. My mother sighed. "Yes, but he will be talked to." I nodded and went to the bedroom."What the Hell are you thinking!" I heard his dad yell. "Mr.Diaz, please. Stars wish was a talk, nothing more nothing less." My mother said.
I walked out of my room and sat by Marco. He looked like he's ran five miles.
"How long did you run?" I asked. "About three hours....four-and-a-half miles." He said with bags under his eyes. "Then all you get is a talk." I said.
"How did she get pregnant!?" My dad asked.
"You should know." I said. "He means when." My mother clarified. "The third week here." I said.
"Why didn't you come home? You're almost eighteen years-old. You should have came home." Mrs.Diaz said with worry in her voice. "I know, but we feared this would only pull us even more apart.." Marco said.
They questioned us more, but they eventually left. They said they were going to check up on us until I turn 18.My baby was officially 5 month's old! I was going to confirm that my baby is a boy. We went in. First she checked me, then she checked the baby's. It's heart beat was 140 beats per minute, she did a sonogram.
"Would you like to know the gender?" She asked. I nodded. "It's a boy, he is very healthy." She said with a warm smile.
We left and that was that."You always did know it was a boy." My mother said proudly. "I know," I said smiling ear to ear. "I've always wanted a boy!" "Well, you have to stop making me feel old." Mrs. Diaz said. "You aren't old, I'm just really young!" I said as we all laughed. "But I just feel like I have more to look up to. More than the new queen of Mewni, but a mother," I said.
"Welp, dinner's done, and don't worry. You'll make a great queen, a great mother, and you're a wonderful girl friend," he said with a smile. "I have to go to work. I'll be back later." He said. "Okay..." I said trying not to seem depressed about it.
After he left, his mom started asking questions. "He's been working a lot...hasn't he?" "Yeah, but I don't have to worry...right?" I've never thought he'd cheat on me, I trust him, but his hours get longer and I've got lonelier. "He's come home with lipstick stains..." I said remembering distinctly five different times. "Honey, I know my son, he doesn't cheat. There has to be some reasonable explanation." She said. "Yes, he doesn't seem like the cheating type, you have to trust." My mother said.
We ate, talked about what has been happening in the city, in Mewni, and just fashion. They said they would stay till Marco got back home.
It was 10:09 pm when he got home. He ran inside to me.
"I've been saving up." He said. I had a confused look on my face. He sat me down and got on one knee. He pulled something out of his pocket. His mom was recording all of this.
"Star Butterfly, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?" He asked
