I get out of the cab and walk towards the trunk of the car so I can get my suit cases. Once I get my luggage out of the trunk , I start walking towards the front of the huge building. Here we go, my new life at college starts now.
Once I get to the reception, I give the kind woman behind the desk a warm smile before telling her my name. Once she gets my name she checks some sort of list , and a moment later she is handing me a key.
"You dorm room number is 208" she said with a kind smile.
"Thank you" I said before walking away to find my dorm room, luggage still in hand. This place is so big and beautiful, I wasn't expecting this place to look so good. Since I got here, I haven't seen a single spec of dust.
As I walk, I bump into some random guy, which causes one of my bags to fall. Gosh, can these people not see where I'm walking.
"I'm so sorry" the boy said in a deep husky voice. He better be sorry, now my bag is on the floor."To make it up to you, I'll carry your bags all the way to you dorm room." He said while picking up my bag from the floor.
"Um, okay...thanks" I said a bit shyly, before giving the boy another one of my suit cases . "Be careful, its heavy." He takes my suit case and effortlessly puts it over his shoulder, holding it with his arm, while still holding the other bag he picked up. How is he carrying all of that so effortlessly ? There must be at least a hundred items in just one bag.
"How are you holding that so effortlessly?" I asked looking at him skeptically causing him to smirk at me. This guy is kind of cute...okay, cute is probably not the right word to use, HOT would be a more appropriate word.
"So what dorm room are you in?" He asked beginning to walk away, causing me to run in order to catch up to him.
"Um...room 208." I answered, making him stop dead in his tracks before continuing to walk again.
"I'm Colin, by the way, just in case you were wondering." I can't see his face because he is walking a bit faster than me but I can almost feel that stupid smirk on his face.
"I'm Katherine. Thanks for carrying my stuff."
"No problem.... your dorm room should be right...here" he said as we approach a door with the number 208 on it. I take my key and put it in the lock, hesitating before twisting the key and opening the door.
The room has two beds on each side and a big cupboard at the back of the room. One half of the room is covered in posters with some boy band I have never seen before.
Colin puts my bags onto my bed before turning around to face me. I only realize now how tall he is, I probably only reached a bit below his shoulders.
"Um, about your roommate...she's a great girl but do yourself a favour and don't get on her bad side" he said sounding extremely serious making me chuckle before saying that I wouldn't get on her bad side.
He walks toward the door,grabs the door nob and hesitates a little before turning around again. "I'm serious Katherine, don't get on her bad side." And that was all he said before walking out the door and closing it behind him.
What is up with that guy? Why would he be so scared of my roommate? I hope she isn't as bad as he made her out to be. But he did say that she's a great girl, she probably just has a bad temper. I think it would be smart if I just stayed on her good side.
I decide that I should probably start unpacking my things so I make my way over to my suit case which is laying on my bed and open it, revealing my clothes. I start taking my neatly folded clothes and put them in my half of the giant cupboard. By the time I am half way through packing my clothes away, I hear the door open, so I turn around to see who it is.
A blonde girl stood in the doorway with a big smile on her face. Well she doesn't seem that bad
"Hi, I'm Cleo, you must be Katherine." She said with a friendly smile while walking towards me and bringing her hand up for a handshake. Noticing her gesture, I bring my hand up and shake hers.
She is really beautiful. Her blonde hair was made into perfect curls which really made her light blue eyes. pop. On her face, there was no sign of make up, only a bit of lip gloss could be seen, but even without much make up, she looked flawless...lucky bitch. I wish I had blonde hair, but sadly I'm stuck with dark brown hair.
"Nice to meet you Cleo. I'm so glad you're friendly. I was so afraid that you'd be some rude bitch but obviously you're not" I say , giggling a bit.
"I was just gonna say the same thing. I can already tell we're going to be good friends" She says while slightly laughing
This girl is actually pretty cool. I just need to remember not to get on her bad side.
"I just came to see who my new roommate is, but I'll be leaving soon, my boyfriend is taking me to some fancy restaurant"
"That sounds fun, he seems like a great boyfriend" I tell her as I continue to pack my clothes into my half of the cupboard. I notice Cleo snap her head to the side, looking at the door as if someone were about to come in, and a little while later I hear a knock on the door. How did she do that? Its almost like she sensed that someone was about to enter the room.
"Come in!!" The door opens revealing a guy with pitch black hair and blue eyes. "Jason!" Cleo shouts and runs towards the stranger, giving him a tight squeeze before kissing him on the cheek. They're probably dating
After their little moment of affection, Cleo turns towards me. "Jason, this is my new roommate, Katherine." Jason looks at me, his eyes raking my body shamelessly.
"Nice to meet you Katherine." He says in a forced deep , husky voice, obviously trying way too hard to sound sexy. What the hell? "Well we should leave now, or else we might be late." He said, turning back to Cleo.
"Okay"Cleo says before she makes her way out the door, leaving me and Jason alone
"I hope I will be seeing you again, Katherine." He says, trying to be sexy again. "Well I better get going." He says before exiting the room.
Why the hell was he flirting with me? He has a girlfriend. Remember when I said he seems like a great boyfriend...I take that back. He's a dick.
