Hinata has many different laughs, but theres always one Kageyama enjoys the most. Not to say that he doesn't enjoy the others, no, he likes Hinatas laughter overall.
But theres always that one, the one he does where its too soft to be barely recognised as a laugh, it only happens when they are in bed together, nothing intimate.
It happens when Kageyama pulls Hinata close and wraps himself around the smaller protectively, burying his face into Hinatas neck or his hair. Maybe it was just because he was ticklish, but despite it he knew Hinata wasn't ticklish there.
It happens when he nuzzles where ever he has his face at the moment (mostly hinatas neck), when he plants gentle kisses on the warm skin.
Its soft, if you could touch the older males laughter Kageyama would be sure it felt like silk or feathers, maybe both.
He can feel the vibration from his laugh, which eventually has Kageyama chuckling softly himself. Soon it would become so much that the two would be clinging to each other, Hinatas blunt nails digging slightly into Kageyamas shirtless back, shoulders shaking from trying to keep the volume down, being mindful of their thin apartment walls and remembering how they have already gotten a noise complaint once. (Hinatas fault).
Sometimes, the laughter would result in Kageyama on top and pulling the sheets over them to form a small cocoon, a world of their own.
Hinata would laugh at that too, a tired one where he kept his eyes closed and Kageyama would smile gently down at him until Hinata peeked open one eye and would give him a look that said "what?". Kageyama would just shake his head, leaning down to kiss the other gently, inwardly hating how it would silence any laughter Hinata let out. But he supposed that was okay, because sometimes Hinatas gasps and moans and shaky "Tobio"'s were much better.
He laughed during it too, but it was more of a shaky one, but Kageyama didn't mind it.
Their midnight activities would always end with how they started, Kageyama rolling over and pulling Hinata against him, but this time running his fingers through the wild sunset hair until he fell asleep, a dying laugh on his lips, a "goodnight Kageyama".
Thats laugh Kageyama loves the most.
When he laughs, Kageyama swears its the most beautiful sound he's ever heard.
He has close favourites too, like when Hinata would try and climb the counters to get to the top cabinets instead of asking Kageyama would help, he would never say anything, only catch the noise of loud shuffling from the kitchen (Hinata was probably thinking he was being quiet), and Kageyama would cross his arms and lean against the entry way to the kitchen, watching quietly.
It was when Kageyama's patience would writher away and he would walk behind Hinata and wrap his arms around the others waist, pulling him off the counter slowly, letting Hinata find the ground and planting his lips on Hinatas shoulder, mumbling a "what are you doing?" But of course he knew Hinata didn't hear him, so he asked again.
Cake mix, he remembers, Hinata wanted the cake mix.
It was easy for Kageyama to reach, handing the small box of mix to his significant who let out a small squeal of delight, smiling up at Kageyama widely.
Kageyama remembers how Hinata shook the box, looking down at it then at Kageyama, a visional invitation of would you like to join me?
