Just like every other day, I'm woken up by loud kids, barking dogs, hispanic music, and sweat trickling down my face from the lack of breeze coming from the fan. I told aunt Lisa but she's to cheap to get the air conditioner fixed. Throwing the covers back, i got up and opened the window to allow some air in the room but soon realized that it's even worst outside. I shut the window back and proceeded with my day.

Dressed and ready i headed into the kitchen only to be greeted by my brother Deshae.
"Goodmorning, how'd you sleep?" Dipping his spoon  into his cereal one last time before getting up. He looked at me waiting for my answer. "Good, you?" He moved his shoulders a bit then said "yea, just like a baby."

I've been with my aunt Lisa since i was 4. Then Deshae came about two years after me when he turned 8. We were sent down here when my father died from a car accident. You can say my mother went crazy after that, so aunt lisa came and scooped us up and we've been here ever since.
