They say "Everything will be alright,"
And in desperation, you begin to believe
But there is never an escape
From the darkness that continues to seepTell yourself that it will be fine
It's just a game without skip, pause, and replay.
Tell yourself, "This is just a test,"
But you never win. There's always something to pay.You fall down, get up, then fall back down
Fighting and fighting for the 'better days'
Yet they never come, always so far,
No one gets through life's changing mazeAnd when the time comes when you've had enough,
You pick the blade up and push it down,
"This is the only way, the only escape,"
A lone tear and broken smile, then whisper good bye.
