"Boo," the whole class protests against Mr. N's decision.

"Oh Honey," the girl next to me says. "You're in for a treat."

"Huh?"

"Benny there never does any work."

Are you blimey kidding me?

"Everyone else can partner up with whomever they'd like," Mr. N says.

"Hey Jessica want to be partners?" a tall girl asked the girl next to me.

"Sure," she says with a smile. "See you later, Ava. Oh and good luck."

"Haha thanks..." I murmur. "I guess."

The room transformed into a tornado of students, moving and trying to get to people halfway across the room through a rather loud form of communication.

"YO BILLY, WANT TO TEAM UP?" some guy screams.

"MY MAN!" the guy screams back. "OF COURSE!"

The teacher began to hit his gavel on his table. I'm beginning to fancy this teacher and the way he runs his classroom.

"Okay class go and sit with your partners. Your assignment is to paint something that captures the essence of your partner."

Chairs begin to shift and bodies begin to move as we all start sitting by all our partners. I shyly get up and sit next to mister- I mean Benjamin.

"Hi," I mutter.

"Hmph," he shrugs giving me a smirk.

Wow what a bloody prat.

"Look I'm here to work not to get a bad grade because of some good-for-nothing prat like you," I say annoyed.

"Ouch that hurt princess," he says as he places his hand over his hand.

"You twit," I say.

"Whatever you say, darling," he says with a smirk.

I begin to paint with black. His essence is dark and annoying so the next color is pink I guess. Is pink the color of annoyance? He just sits there doing nothing.

"Look you better start working before I twat you on the head."

"Oh okay princess. Whatever you say."

I roll my eyes. He picks up a brush and begins to falsely paint objects onto his canvas. After a few strokes and a couple of mocking stares, he 'finished' my painting.

"Oh so now you're done?"

"You got that right, buttercup," he says with a smirk.

"Arsehole," I say under my breath.

Once I finish his painting, it's a beautiful mess of black, pink, and the tiniest amounts of white.

"Okay class, do we have some volunteers to show what they painted?" the teacher asked about half an hour before class ended.

"I'll go!" Billy the jock said excitedly.

He gets up and struts towards the front of the class, making all the girls swoon while I try to hold my laugh back.

"Okay so my partner was Jack and his aura is," he turns over the canvas that he was hiding. "...Is SPORTY LIKE ME! YEAH FOOTBALL!" The canvas was painted blue and green and in the middle was a picture of a football.

Everyone erupts into laughter even the teacher, which caught me off guard. Billy stops acting like a complete twat and sits down.

"Anyone else?" the teacher asks through his chuckles.

"I'll go," Jessica says as she gets up and gives me a wink. I smile.

"Okay so my partner was Britney and her essence is serene and graceful," she says. "So I painted a waterfall."

She flips the canvas and it shows a stunning painting of a waterfall in the middle of a forest, water glimmering in the sunshine. The whole class began with its ooh's and aah's at the painting.

"Great Job, Ms. Grace."

She takes a bow and sits down.

"Your name is Jessica Grace?" I ask in a whispered tone.

"Yeah."

"Grace is my middle name," I say with a smile.

"Oh My Gosh. That's so funny," she smiles back.

"Ms. Swan, would you care to go?"

"Umm... sure," I say shyly. I look back and pretty boy is smirking his life away. I awkwardly get up and stand in front of the class.

"Okay so my partner is the idiot smiling like an dumbass in the back," I say as I point towards him. He suddenly becomes the color of a tomato and slowly slides down into his seat. Everyone silently laughs and Jessica encourages me to keep going.

I flip the canvas and everyone in the class stay silent.

"HA IT'S SO UGL-," the hyena blond says.

"OH MY GOSH IT'S SO COOL," Jessica says before the class erupts into cheers and claps for me.

"Nice job Ava."

"Why the colors black, white and pink?" the teacher asks.

"Well I chose black because Benny Boo over there is your typical bad boy," I say while looking straight into his eyes. "All bad boys are dark and mysterious so that explains that."

"Okay," the teacher says. "Continue."

"I chose white because I choose to believe that everyone has a little light in them, whether they're downright angelic or straight up demonic."

"Wow nice job," one of the jocks compliments.

"And finally I chose pink because every bad boy has a gooey lovey dovey sensitive side," I say in the most girly way I could possibly say it in. Everyone begins to laugh at Ben while he turns fifty shades of red. I begin to feel a slight pang of guilt.

"Great job Ava," Mr. N says as he directs me toward my seat. Again, I not once break eye contact with Benjamin until I sit down and even then I turn around just to look at him.

He seemed distraught by what I said. His eyes were big and brown. Did I hurt his feelings? No I couldn't, he probably has an internal defense system for situations like that.

*Bell rings *

"Have a great day everyone."

I walk out class, wondering if I hurt the big bad boy who was smirking at me not too long ago.
