The summer to remember

Chapter one

        I walk up the spiral staircase and walk toward the kitchen. Today's the last day of school and then it's 3 months of complete relaxation.
        Every year I have a choice weather I want to go to my cabin alone by myself or go to a camp where I don't know anyone. So it's kinda a lose lose situation. All my friends usually go out of state to a warmer place with an ocean and then I'm stuck here with nothing to do and being the loner that I am, but that's gonna change.

I want to go to my cabin with all my closest friends with no adults at all!!!!!! But I have to ask my parents which may be hard to convince them! I'm thinking I'll catch my Mom in the kitchen before I head for my car.

I push the kitchen door open and know ones in there. I find a note on the counter. I pick it up and read it, "good morning Maggie it's the last day of school!!!!! Good luck and think about what you want to do this summer so we can pay or get supplies for you!!!! Love you- Mom."

I smile and set the note down. My brother walks in and says "Morning butt breath!" I give him an annoyed look.

"Morning butt cheek!" He smiles. My brother is ten years old. He has 1 more year till he has the option to do what he wants to do.

I find donuts from mom on the counter. A note is on the box, "enjoy! - Mom." I reach for a plate when my brother grabs the box of donuts and runs. I run after him screaming.

"Chase give me the box or your gonna lose an eye!!!!" He laughs in the most annoyingest laugh I have ever heard.

"Yeah if you can catch me! He runs down the spiral staircase can trips over his own 2 feet. He tumbles down the rest of the stairs and lands on the ground next to the stairs, at the bottom. He is laying on his back holding his back not moving, but he's looking at me when I walk down the stairs.
I snatch the box of donuts from his opened up hand, and say, "I'll take that." I walk up the stairs and into the kitchen while Chase is still on the floor in pain. I grab a plate and open the box. I grab a long chocolate donut and set it on my plate.

When I take the last bite, Chase walks in and glares at me. I smile and bump his arm while I walk out of the kitchen and go upstairs to get ready for school.

I walk in my room and grab my clothes for school. I'm wearing short jean shorts and a tank top, it's colorful and has flowing layers. I walk into my bathroom and brush my teeth and hair. I put deodorant on and wash my face. I grab my curlers that my Mom used to have when she was a kid and plugged it in. When it gets hot I put as many curlers in as I need so that all of my hair is in a curl.

I wait an hour or so, so that it can get curled more. An hour has passed and I take them out. My long blonde hair is extremely curly and my blue eyes stand out. I pull the front curl closets to my face back and bobby pin it.

I walk out of the bathroom and put my favorite perfume on, Sweet pea. I walk toward my desk, grab my backpack from my chair, walk out of my room and head for my car.

I walk to the kitchen again and Chase is eating a donut. I grab my keys and say "last day of school, enjoy!" He smiles. "Cya later bro!" I walk out of the house and walk to my blue truck. I hop in and drive to school, jamming out to 101.3/ country.

When I get to school I park in the parking lot and grab my backpack. I shut the door and i walk inside school. I walk through the halls and I see all my friends by my locker. There's 12 of us all together, Me, Chloe, Sadie, Layla, Mae, Ella, Jordan, Liam, Ethan, Lucas, Mason and Nick. Chloe is short and has long blonde curly hair, that is so hard to brush she gets her brush caught in her hair. She is also really skinny.
Sadie is tall, long blonde hair and is skinny. She has glasses and blue eyes.
Layla is tall, long brown hair with blonde highlights. She's really skinny and a lot of people like her.
Mae is tall, short brown hair, skinny and also has a lot of guys chasing her.
Ella had long brown hair, she has glasses but usually doesn't wear them, she is skinny, and has a silly laugh! But we love her!
Jordan has long brown hair, he's skinny, tall and he loves to joke around.
Liam is also a jokester, he has blonde hair, he's super tall.
Ethan is short but taller than me, he has brown hair and is skinny.
Lucas is short, blonde hair, blue eyes and is really skinny.
Mason is tall, brown hair, skinny but buff, and always wears a hat.
Nick is tall, blonde hair, skinny but muscular and is siblings with Mae.

I walk toward them and they all say "Maggie!!!!" I walk toward them and smile.

"Hey guys!" I say while opening my locker.

"It's almost summer vacation!!!!" Mae says.

"Yeah!" I say. We all walk in the halls till the bell rings.
