The rest of the day went spent digging a grave for Judy. Kent, Ashton and I dug a grave and around sunset it was finished. We wrapped her in a blanket and placed her into the new dug grave. I was sad, along with Kent, we didn't take it as hard as Ashton though. Ashton had been with her before they found Kent so it was extra hard for him. Later we had dinner, in silence. Then we went to bed... Not many words were said that night.

A few days pasted and things got better, not as many Moaners around. It was early, sunrise. I sat on the roof outside my window, eating a can of peaches as I did months ago when I first got here. I though about James, I missed him so much. I wondered if I would ever see him again, or is he was okay... Or alive. These thoughts brought tears to my eyes, all I could hope is he would be okay, and someday I'd find him again. Suddenly I herd something behind me, I turned to see Ashton. He climbed out the window and sat by me. We hadn't talked much since Judy was bitten, except for a couple small conversation we really hadn't talked. "Hey" he said sitting by me. "Hey..." I replied looking at him. "How you doin'..." I asked him. "I'm okay... I guess" He responded softly. "If you need to, I'm here to talk" I told him with a reassuring smile. "Thanks" He said with a small smile back.

And as we all know, just as we feel safe or happy or are actually enjoying ourselves... Something goes wrong. We sat there both smiling when we herd it... A noise that could not be mistaken. "HELP" Kent screamed. We looked at each other and then scurried inside. We ran down stairs, getting our weapons ready. "I left my sword upstairs" I said as we ran threw the house. "Use your knife" Ashton said opening the door. "Ill have to" I said as we walked outside. We ran around the house to where Kent had been. Ashton was in front of me. I saw him stop and as I got there he held me back. I stopped as I saw what happened. Kent was lying on the ground, being eaten by two moaners. I gasped in disgust. His blood was everywhere, the moaners were eating him from the stomach. I wanted to puke. Ashton groaned in disgust, I did the same... But we shouldn't have. The moaners herd us, they got  up blood dripping from there mouths. The slowly walked towards us. I put my knife in one of the moaners heads. Ashton kicked it back and then stabbed it in the temple. We both sighed.

That day we dug a grave, it was harder without the help of Kent. We buried him and ate some food on the roof. "I'm sorry about Kent... And Judy... I'm really sorry, they both died within days of each other... and they were the people you were with.." I explained. "Yeah... But... At least I'm not totally alone..." He said looking at me.    "Same... So don't be getting yourself killed" I joked with a smile. He smiled "Same to you" He chuckled slightly.

After that we went to our rooms, closed my window and climbed in bet shortly after. I laid staring at the ceiling... I sighed and rolled on my side, I thought about Kent.... and Judy.. and how one day they were fine, and the next... They were gone... It made me realize how bad its gotten... How one day your fine and the next your underground. I wouldn't let that happen to me if I had any control.

The next morning I woke up, it was the middle of the night. I looked out the window, it was pouring. I jumped out of bed, I ran down stairs quickly. I grabbed as many bottles, buckets, pots and cups and I could carry and ran out side. I placed them on the ground and ran back in. I got more as Ashton walked down the stairs seeing me getting cups from the cupboard. "Why are you up in the middle of the night.... Wha...What are you doing?!" He asked me like I was crazy. "Get some, quick!" I said with full arms and ran back outside. "Okay...." He said getting some and going outside. He quickly realized what I was doing when he saw it was raining. He smiled at me. I looked up at him as I set the cups on the ground and smiled. After placing them all out we went back inside. We were both soaked. I went back up to my room and changed my clothes. I got back in bed and quickly fell asleep.

When I woke it the morning it was cloudy it was barely dawn... Then I quickly realized why I woke up before dawn. I herd knocking on the door... But not a moaner pounding on the door, No... A human knock.... Probably because they saw our cups, buckets, pots and pans out front. But I herd it as I sat up in bed... 'Knock Knock Knock Knock'
