I was driving, flipping through the radio stations when I heard a familiar voice. "Olivia is track nine on the album and it's a personal favorite. Olivia could mean anything, a place, a girl, or a family member. That's the beauty of the song, using the name Olivia as a symbol of something or someone." A boy with a thick British accent said before a song starting playing. I recognized the voice. Not only did I recognize the voice, but also the name. It was my name. Olivia Nicole Benson. "I live for you I love for you Olivia." The car roared. I couldn't remember the name of the boy for the life of me, so I kept driving. The song was a very beautiful song. Whoever this Olivia was must be lucky, because I knew it couldn't be me.
I lived in an apartment with my best friend Taylor in a small town in England. I was going to visit my mom and little sister who lived in a fairly larger city three hours away from me. I was nearly there. I blocked out the radio looking at the huge town around me. I loved the big city, but it was too much for me. I had just graduated high school and moved to find a job with my best friend. It was my twentieth birthday and I was so excited to see my mom and little sister.
I walked into my front door to be greeted by my sister Kiya. She's 10 years old and my little twin. She ran up and hugged me. "Hey sissy! Happy Birthday!" She said squeezing my waist. "Hey Ky how are you?" I asked running my fingers through her long blonde hair. "Good!" She said running off into the kitchen as I slowly followed. "Hey mom." I said hugging her as she fixed dinner. "Hello Olivia! It's been a while." She said smiling. I hadn't seen my family since I moved away two years ago, but it felt like I never left.
I sat at the marble counter watching her cook as Kiya sat down beside me playing on her phone. She was watching some band. "Who is that?" I asked curiously. "It's One Direction! They're from here you know. They're all my boyfriends, but Niall is my favorite." She said all in one breath singing along to the song. I looked over to see someone I haven't saw in 5 years. Harry Styles. "Mom do you remember Harry?" I asked not taking my eyes off the screen. "Of course! He's in the band your sisters obsessed with. It's been forever since I've seen him. Have you talked to him lately?" She asked. "Not in 5 years." I said finally looking up. I slid my iPhone out of my back pocket and quickly went to my contacts. Harry Styles. I read it and pressed the call button walking out of the room onto the front porch. The phone rang for what seemed like hours. "Hello this Harry. I'm not at my phone at the time, but if you leave a message I'll call you back as soon as possible." I heard a beep and my mind went blank. "Um hello Harry. I don't know if you remember me, but this is Olivia. If you want to give me a call when you can that would be great! Bye." I said hanging up the phone, sighing.
I remember the voice. How could I forget it? Me and Harry have been best friends since we were 10. We went through a lot together. Both of our dads died, but we were right next to each other every step of the way. When he turned 16 he went to audition for the X factor and I haven't heard from him since. I use to think about him, but it's been so long I've kinda forgotten. Until now.
Olivia is not about a family member or a place. It's about me, and I will not rest until I talk to Harry again. Even it's the last thing I do.
