Also, Thank you to BlueNineTails for writing awesome fanfics and giving me inspiration. I do not own Naruto or any of the characters. Thanks and have fun reading! <3"Don't touch me!" Snarling, the young girl backflipped away from the man.
"Princess, you disappoint me," The creepy man whispered. The girl pulled her fist back and aimed a punch to the man's face.
"Don't call me that! I told you, I want to leave!" The girl shouted, yelping when she missed the punch and lurched forward. She heard dark laughter behind her and spun around on her knees to face the man.
"Alright, my lovely princess. You may leave, but please accept this present from me first," The man said, hissing in delight as his neck elongated and he sank his fangs in the poor girl's neck. The girl's eyes widened, and she let out a bloodcurdling scream. She crawled on to her shaking knees, gritting her teeth to hold back another scream.
"Y-you'll regret this," the girl croaked, "Orochimaru."
Akane's P.O.V.
Leaping from tree to tree, I feel my chakra diminish. I had been running nonstop for four days now, trying to get away from him. My mind still feels muddled, and my shoulder is a constant pain. Suddenly, I feel my knee give way and I yelp in pain as I crash through branches before finally hitting the ground. Coughing weakly, I try to stand up before falling back onto my butt, my knee refusing to support me. I curse under my breath and crawl over to a nearby tree.
"Dammit," I curse, sighing as the trees rustle in the wind. Luckily, it was nighttime, and I didn't have to worry about any rogue ninja finding me.
"I should've learned medical ninjutsu when I had the chance," I mumble.
"Camouflage Technique!" I yell before performing a series of hand signs. Dully, I watch as as my hands fade from view, the pain in my shoulder increasing. Sighing, I lay on my side and tried to fall asleep, but no matter what I think about, it leads back to him. After hours of tossing and turning, I give up trying to fall asleep and stand back up, dispelling my jutsu. Closing my eyes, I bite my thumb and slam it onto the ground.
"Summoning Jutsu!" I shout, coughing as dust fills the air. When the smoke clears, A huge hawk is crouched on the ground, its wings covering the entire ground.
"What do you want?" A gruff voice asks. I sigh and bring my hand up to pull my long crimson hair away from my face.
"Seriously Hayato, Can't you have any respect?" I mumble. The hawk somehow manages to roll his eyes.
"Anyway, I need you to carry me somewhere." I say, stumbling forward. Hayato's eyes grow wide.
"Master, you really don't need to push yourself so hard. You could've called me along time ago, why'd you wait till now?" He says.
"I forgot, I guess, but for now, just take me somewhere else." I huff, crawling onto Hayato's back. Just as Hayato is about to take off, a loud voice interrupts us.
"Stop!" I spin around and see two men standing at the edge of the clearing. They both have leaf headbands on their foreheads. Hayato hisses beside me and I place my hand on his head, stroking his feathers gently.
"You! Why are you trespassing on Leaf territory?" A man with long blonde hair yelled. I roll my eyes.
"Is it against the law?" I snarl before turning around. "Come on Hayato, let's go." I command.
"Why do you smell like Orochimaru?" A voice behind them states. I whirl around and see a ninken sitting beside a man with floating gray hair.
"None of you business," I snap. The man with anti-gravity hair stiffens.
"Are you working for him?" He asks.
"That bastard?" Not a chance," I reply. Just the thought of Orochimaru makes my shoulder ache, and I clutch it as it begins to throb. The long ponytail guy steps forward, his eyes wide.
"Is that the curse mark?" He exclaims. My eyes widen and I turn to hop onto Hayato, but the curse mark suddenly erupts in pain and I fall to the ground, stars in the corners of my eyes.
"Ugh..." I groan, feeling ready to throw up. The last thing I hear is Hayato calling my name.
Third Person P.O.V.
"She has a curse mark," Kakashi says. The third Hokage sighs.
"Another of Orochimaru's experiments?" He asks, although he already knows she is. For some reason, the girl looked extremely familiar, but the third Hokage couldn't remember who she was. 'Strange. She looks just like Kushina Uzumaki, minus her emerald eyes.' Akane snarls upon hearing Orochimaru's name.
"I'm still here, ya'know?" She says, baring her teeth at the nervous guard who bound her hands together. The third Hokage sighs again.
"Miss, we aren't trying to hurt you," He says gently. Akane eyes him doubtfully.
"Then let me go, you nasty old man," She commands. The guard gasps, enraged.
"How dare you treat our Hokage like that?" He says, moving forward to slap Akane.
"Izumo, it's alright," The Hokage says, taking notice of Akane's ragged clothes.
"Where are you from?" He asks. Akane glares in his direction.
"None of your business," She snaps. The Hokage is taken aback at her boldness.
"Then, may we at least know your name?" The Hokage continues on as if nothing happened.
"Akane," She sneers. The Hokage sighs and shifts in his chair, running out of patience.
"Surname?" He asks.
"Don't have one," Akane says a hint of sadness appearing in he reyes. When she notices the Hokage staring at her intently, her eyes harden. "What's it to you, anyway?" The Hokage blows out a puff of smoke from the pipe he's using.
"I need to know if you're trustworthy enough to stay in the village," The Hokage says. Akane scoffs.
"What makes you think I want to stay in this village?"
"Where else would you go?" The Hokage says, watching as doubt flickers across Akane's face. She refuses to talk however, and stays silent. The Hokage sighs and reaches into his desk.
"For now, you can stay at a spare house, where an Anbu member will watch you and see if you do anything suspicious.. I will also have you enrolled into the academy," The Hokage says, handing Akane a set of keys. Akane stares at him strangely. 'This old man, how is he the Hokage?' Akane thinks to herself. 'How can he let a stranger into the village so easily?'
"What is the academy?" Akane asks sullenly. Kakashi opens his mouth to speak.
"It is the school for upcoming ninja," Kakashi says. Akane stares at him with a dull look.
"Why do I have to be enrolled?" Akane asks. Kakashi looks at the Hokage hopelessly.
"Once you graduate from the academy, you will able to go on missions and earn money. You don't think we'll just let you stay here for free, did you?" The third Hokage said. Akane simply scowls at him. The Hokage waves his hand at her.
"Go on, Miss Akane. An Anbu member is waiting for you outside."
