Chapter 19

*jamies pov*

Everyone is done packing and rick is going over the plan that Daryl will drive Hershel, Beth, Judith and Carl out into the woods so they can stay safe and the rest of us will hide and shoot them to scare them away, we aren't really gonna kill em, because some are kids and they don't know better, Daryl is getting ready to take them out.

"Hey, good luck" I say to him and kiss his cheek he nods and he drives off. I'm up in a ledge covered by wood with Maggie, Glenn is a few feet away on a ledge to, we hear cars approach the prison, I look up and they are shooting at the walkers, they get out and walk into the prison.

I hear a *boom* come from inside the prison, that must be the smoke grenades, and I hear people screaming and coming out, I nod to Maggie and we look up and start shooting the air or the ground to scare them away, the people all gather in cars and leave fast, I high five Maggie and we climb down the ledges to rick, michonne, Glenn and Daryl, I walked up to Daryl.

"We should follow them, finish the job" Daryl says I agree,

"Did you see them hightail outta here, I don't think they're coming back" Maggie says

"We should first check on everyone else" rick says and we all agree.

*jamies pov*

"He shot the kid in cold blood rick" Hershel says to me and rick,

"He said the kid raised his gun" rick said not wanting to believe that Carl shot someone in cold blood

"The kid was putting his gun down!" Hershel whisper yelled to me and rick, rick sighed and shook his head

"I'll talk to him later" rick said and walked away, Hershel sighed and walked away. I walked towards Carls cell

"Hey" I said I him

"Hey" he said back, I walked and sat on his bed beside him

"Hey Carl, you know you can tell me if anything is bothering you, right? I tell him, he just nods

"Something is wrong, what is it?" I ask him

"Nothing" he says to me

"I consider you as a brother, and siblings are supposed to tell each other what's wrong....because you know that I won't tell yer dad, I'm not that type of person" I say to him

"I know" he says, I sigh

"You hold on to your sanity, don't let this world beat you, or change you, your strong and I hope it doesn't change you" I say he stands up and hugs me

"Thanks" he says I nod and walk out to find Daryl, I spot Maggie outside

"Do you know where Daryl is?" I ask her

"They went after the governor" she says, I sigh, what if he gets hurt, I start to worry

"It's ok they'll com-" she was interrupted by cars and a Motercycle coming up, we start to panic thinking it was the governor, but it was just our people with a bus full of people?? Wait what I thought to myself, me and Maggie open up the gates to let them in, they drive up and Daryl get off his Motercycle and comes up to me.

"What's this?" I ask gesturing towards the bus

"People from Woodbury" he replies

"How?" I ask

"After the governor left with his army, he killed all of them on the side of the road, only one survived" he says and I nod looking at the people.

I recognized 2 people my eyes went huge and my breath got caught in my throat, it was Xavier my best gay guy friend and my dad Greg.
