Paige's POV:
It's been a few days since my brother got home from the Airforce.
Harry was confused about it but then caught in when they met.
I was so happy to see my brother. I really have missed him.
Right now, I'm getting ready for school. Today is Monday, and there's practically nothing exciting going on.
"Paige, are you almost ready?" Josh screamed from downstairs.
"Coming..." I yelled back. I grabbed my back pocket and headed out the door with my brother. He has been driving me to school lately.
My brother swiftly turned on the radio to one of his country stations. Ahh, my brother hasn't changed a bit.
"Still into country?" I laughed.
"Yup, never changed." Josh smiled.
"Beer money..." Josh shouted. It was part of the lyrics that Josh and I used to listen to all the time. I memorized a couple country songs for him because he always asked me to sing for him.
I laughed at his off toned voice. "Well, how about you sing then?" Josh insisted.
"Fine." I said. "So come on, come on. Baby I'm buying. I've got enough to last us all night and you got the lips that taste like honey. I got a little beer money..." I sang with the radio.
"Wow," Josh spoke.
"What?" I asked.
"You've gotten so much better than before." Josh smiled.
"I persuaded mom to let me take a few lessons right after you left for the Airforce." I said.
"Well, good. You sound amazing." he smiled again.
Just then we pulled into my school. I quickly hugged my brother, said goodbye, and got out of his car. I waved to my brother as his car disappeared down the road.
"Paige! Paige!" someone screamed. I looked behind me and saw Lily and Ali running towards me.
"What?" I laughed. From the way they were running, it has to be important. Lily was waddling fastly and Ali was limping/running.
"You're late and the announcements are starting!" they shouted pulling me into the school.
"So? We never listened to the announcements before..." I trailed off as they continued to pull me into the school.
Once we were in the school, they sat me down in the cafeteria.
"What is this about?" I asked.
"I over heard one of the nerdy kids talking to the announcement people saying that there was-" Ali started but never finished because Lily smacked her.
"Let's her heart it for herself..." Lily said. Ali nodded and they both sat across from me.
I heard the 'beep' on the speaker, signaling that the announcements were about to start. "Gooooood morning everybody!" the speaker said.
"I have some important announcements to make today. First off I would like to say that Mrs. Fernandez had her beautiful baby child last night. Secondly, lunch today will consist of mac and cheese with some soup..." the speaker continued.
"Lastly, I was told that the local music station will be giving out an amazing offer to this school. We spoke and decided that we will be hosting a talent show this year!" the speaker spoke excitedly. "But this isn't any talent show..." the speaker continued. "This is only a singing competition. The winner of the talent show will receive a record deal with the music station. You will be famous!"
