JacobI felt the cold air on my skin, the fabric beneath me unfamiliar. My eyes opened up quickly to a plain white ceiling. I shot up right, my eyes scanned the sun lit room. Where am I? How did I get here? A million thoughts paced through my head, but maybe I should start at the beginning.
My name is Jacob Bells, I was born on May 3rd in my home town Foxburrow. Everything was normal when I woke up, I dragged my still half asleep self into the kitchen. I grabbed a bowl and and poured a bowl of cereal, I started eating and my sister rushed down the stairs in a hurry. Hectic (as usual) she grabs a muffin and dashes out the door, she's 21 and moved out of state the day she turned 18 and was rushing to get to her flight on time. She had been visiting my mother for the week.
I put my empty bowl in the sink and went up stairs to get dressed. I threw on a pair of sweats and a plain grey tee-shirt and headed to the bathroom, staring at my self in the mirror before brushing my teeth. Same old shaggy sandy hair, same old green-blue eyes, same old everything. Nothing new happens in this town. Ever.
I finished up in the bathroom and grabbed my school bag. My mom who was making pancakes for her and my dad shouted to me as I opened the door "have a good day hunny, love you!" "Love you too, bye" I hollered back and shut the door behind me.
