I'm standing on a deserted beach. The white sand under my feet is so soft, it feels like I'm walking on clouds. As I walk loser to the shoreline I inhale the fresh, salty smell of the sea. I love that smell; it's so calming. I close my eyes and listen to the waves break onto the beach and I giggle when I feel the cool water tickle my toes. A soft, delicate breeze surrounds me, making my long brunette hair whip around my body.
??? -- "Hey beautiful."
I whirl around to see who had spoken, but before I could see who it was I heard my voice being called in the distance.
??? -- "Miley? Miles wake up."
I groaned loudly and open my eyes to see my BGF (best guy friend) Joe looking down at me.
Joe -- "Hello sleepy head."
Miley -- "Hello person who rudely interrupted my dreams."
Joe -- "Oh that's a nice way to greet your best friend. I'm hurt now."
He sniffled and pretended to wipe away a tear. I rolled my eyes.
Miley -- "You are such a dork."
Joe -- "Why thank you, I pride myself on being a dork."
I shook my head and sat up.
Miley -- "So did you actually have a reason for waking me up? Or did you just do it for the hell of it?" I asked as I grabbed a hair tie from my bedside table and tied my hair up in a messy ponytail.
Joe -- "Just for the hell of it."
I glared at him and he chuckled.
Joe -- "Nah, I came to tell you that Selena's making breakfast downstairs if you want some."
Miley - "Okay cool, I'll be downstairs in a few minutes."
Joe -- "Kay, I'll go and make sure that Taylor doesn't eat everything."
I giggled as I watched Joe turn on his heel and start to leave. As he walked out the door, I felt my eyes wander down to his butt... his extremely sexy butt I might add. I shook my head when I realised what I was doing and hopped out of bed. I quickly jumped in the shower and got dressed, then skipped downstairs and into the kitchen. A mouth-watering smell hit my nose as soon as I entered and found my BFF Selena standing over the stove and singing along to the radio as she cooked.
Miley -- "Good morning my gorgeous, best friend whom I love so much."
Sel looked over her shoulder and smiled.
Selena -- "Hola Chica."
Miley -- "Hello."
I hopped up on the counter next to the stove and watched her cook.
Miley -- "Have I ever told you how much I love your cooking?"
Selena -- "Are you sucking up to me in the hopes that I may give you food?"
Miley -- "Yeah pretty much."
She giggled and handed me a piece of bacon.
Miley -- "Thanks, you're the best."
Selena -- "I know I am."
She smirked and I rolled my eyes, then took a bite of bacon.
Miley -- "By the way, have you seen Nick"
Selena -- "Uh yeah I think he's in the living room with Joe having an argument about Aliens."
Miley -- "Of course they are."
I jumped off the counter and walked into the living room to see my boyfriend and best friend having what looked to be a very intense conversation.
Joe -- "Oh please dude, you would not."
Nick -- "I so would!"
Miley -- "What on Earth are you two arguing about now?"
They looked up to see who had spoken and Nick grinned widely at the sight of me.
Nick -- "Hey baby."
Miley -- "Hello there," I giggled.
I trotted over to the couch and flopped down next to him. He draped his arm around me and kissed me softly. I blushed lightly and laid my head on his shoulder.
Miley -- "So is one of you going to tell me what was going on?" I asked as I shoved more bacon into my mouth.
Nick -- "We were discussing what we would do if we got abducted my Aliens."
Miley -- "And this turned into an argument how?"
Joe -- "Well Nick claims that he would doing all that he could to try and have a conversation with him."
Nick -- "And Joe seems to think that I would run away screaming like a little girl."
Joe -- "Because you would!"
Nick -- "No I wouldn't!"
Joe -- "Miles please tell your boyfriend that he would run away so I can gloat about me being right and him being wrong?"
Miley -- "Sorry Joe, but I have to agree with Nick. You know how he feels about Aliens."
Nick -- "Ha!"
Joe threw his hands up like he was surrendering.
Joe -- "Fine, you win this time Nicholas. But I will get you one day."
Nick -- "Ooooh I'm shakin'." He joked.
Miley -- "Nicky be nice."
Joe -- "Yeah Nick be nice."
Nick stuck his tongue out at him and Joe smirked as he got up. I was about to put the last of my bacon in my mouth, but Joe snatched it as he walked past us. As his fingers brushed against my hand, I felt pleasant tingles run up the length of my arm.
Miley -- "Hey! That was mine!"
Joe -- "You snooze you lose girl!"
I folded my arms over my chest and pouted.
Miley -- "He stole my bacon."
Nick chuckled and kissed my head.
Nick -- "Well then lets go steal more of Lena."
He got up and held out a hand to pull me up. As we went back to the kitchen I couldn't help but think about the sparks that I felt when Joe touched my hand. Did I...like him?
