Cold

Music blasts through my ears as I lay on my bed; I get up and take off my headphones. "Terra, where are you" I call out for my feline friend, footsteps echo through the hallways of my house as a small chubby cat comes through the door of my room "hey Terra you hungry girl?" I yawn walking over to Terra, I bend down picking her up "ugh... you need to lose some weight you're so fat" I chuckle, walking over to the kitchen. I open some cupboards taking out a two bowls, cat food, and some water for Terra.

After breakfast I put on a jacket walking outside, once I step out a huge blast of cold wind hits me, I close my door and start running towards a house a few blocks away, once I get there I knock on the door of the house, "I'M COMING I'M COMING" someone screams on the other end. I chuckle a little as the door opens to reveal a familiar girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes. "Jennifer come on remember you promised to go play in the snow today" I squeal in a giggly tone "Alexandra the last time I checked you weren't four years old" She laughs "I don't care! Now let's go the snow is waiting for us!" I say excitedly dragging Jennifer with me

I step out of Jennifer's car and onto the snowy ground laughing "I am so excited this is the first time I'm sledding!" I say running over to some stairs as I laugh in joy "Wait do we have to walk all these stairs..." I say slowly as I looking at a huge set of stairs in front of me, "Yep!" Jennifer says popping the p "Why can't we use an elevator or something" I ask pouting "Uh no first it's not called an elevator two they don't have one" Jennifer replies casually walking up the stairs, I groan following after.

Once we make It up the long leg breaking stairs I flop down onto the snow only to fall two feet under, then hit the ground "whoa are you okay Alexandra?" my friend says worriedly as I flail my arms around trying to get up "yeah I just can't get up!" I say attempting to get up only to fall deeper into the snow "try to go over there it looks like it's more stable" she replies with a laugh as she points to some ice. After failing millions of times to get up I eventually get up and onto my feet, I run over to a booth to rent some sleds, me and Jennifer get separate sleds and run over to the edge of the mountain "Make sure you girls don't fall off! You could really hurt yourself" The instructor says as we get on our sleds "Sure thing" Jennifer smiles as we start our way down the mountain.

My long brown hair flows through the wind as I hold on tightly to the sled screaming and laughing in joy "Alexandra don't go that way" Jennifer screeches in horror, I look in front of myself to see a cliff. My face goes pale as I hurdle towards it; the last thing I see is someone reaching out to me as everything goes black.

I groan in pain as I open my eyes to only see white, black, and blonde? I sit up to see Jennifer beside me except... she wasn't moving "J-Jennifer?" I croak shaking her, when my hand touches her all I feel is cold "Jennifer you're scaring me wake up!" I say as my heart quickens I look around to only see snow, so I look up to only see stars and a dark night sky I try to get up but I'm frozen to the spot, I look down and the next thing I see shocks me with fear and pain, I was buried in ice. As I struggle to get up, more waves of pain hits me like the waves of an ocean slapping a sandy beach. I try once more and the ice piles off me, but I wish it didn't because the ice was the only thing keeping the freezing wind from hitting me. I cry out for help but no one comes. I feel my body freezing up at a terrifying rate. I see the edges of my eyes go dark as I start to lose consciousness; I fall down beside Jennifer as I lose my last strand of hope, all I felt was... cold.
