The red path slowly became purple. It was truly a lovely purple. Maybe royal. I walked along with Cheshire, whose grin was becoming more and more threatening to me. He suddenly veered off the path, disappearing into the tall grasses surrounding us.

"Hey! Wait up!" I shouted as I followed him into the grass. Pushing through the tall stalks, I broke out into a small clearing. Cheshire was lounging on top of a stone tunnel entrance.

Thought that if you just walked in, you might not have a chance.

"Does that mean you're helping me?"

No.

"Oh. Great. Thanks."

Are you being sarcastic? Because I can go talk to the Queen right now.

"Go ahead." Cheshire blinked at this response before returning to his endless stare. He broke out grinning.

Well come on then!

I grinned before suddenly covering my mouth.

I see Wonderland is getting to you. Took it long enough. I don't like your sassy attitude.

"I'm not sassy!"

Keep telling yourself that.

Cheshire disappeared into tunnel. I sighed, already used to him running off with out me. I calmly followed him into the tunnel, the entrance closing off behind me.

It was a long walk through the dark, dripping passage. Cheshire insisted behind far ahead enough so that I could barely see his silver grey fur reflecting the tunnel's lifeless decoration.

I could see light pouring in ahead. I started running, catching up with a jogging cat. We burst out into a storage room of some sort. The Queen obviously had all the money in the world. The mops, dusters, cleaners, and brooms were all fresh and clean, nestled into perfect heart-shaped holders.

Cheshire heard me scoff under my breath.

Impressive, right? No expense was spared, even in the cleaning supplies closet.

I shook my head, showing my disgust. I though back to my old college dorm room, that didn't even have enough room for me.

"A bit much, but I'm not one to judge."

I can see you judging.

"Not judging."

Judging. Judging. Judging.

"Let's not argue, we're already in enemy territory."

You mean, you're already in enemy territory. The Queen has nothing against me.

"But you helped me. that's tyranny, right?"

Doesn't matter, she can't touch me. The rules of Wonderland are strict, and can't be broken.

"Rules?"

Yes. There are three rules to Wonderland. One, you can't kill the creator. That's why Alice killed herself. Two, Cheshire will also help the Alices, without the Queen's consent. Three, if Wonderland crumbles, then the rules are forfeit.

"The last rule is basically how to break the rules?"

Yes. Now come on.

I followed Cheshire out of the closet.
