When we arrived to the building, we ran in.
"And why are you late?" officer Jacobs, the schools' security, approached us, asked while rising his eyebrow.
But we weren't in trouble as we thought we were. Melanie and officer Jacobs were like best friends.
"We woke up late. Can you please give me a slide for today? Please? I don't want to get in trouble with my mom. Please officer Jacobs?" She said. He raised his eyebrow and starred at us for a few minutes. I'll have to admit I was pretty scared.
"Ugh! Alright I guess I can. Only because you asked me melanie." He Finally said.
"YES! THANK YOU I OWE YOU ONE." Melanie thanked officer Jacobs.
"Alright but y'all got detention during fourth period, privately. This won't show up on your report card. But y'all got detention during fourth got it? " he said starring dead straight at us.
"Got it! We'll be there." Melanie smiled.
"Now here are your passes, now hurry and get out of here before I Change my mind." We all grabbed them and Shawn took Sergio's penny board and started skating down the hall. I started laughing because he started acting like a badass, which was cute. After that we all went our separate ways and into 3rd period.

After 8th period, before me and Melanie went home, Jessica and Kathy approached us.
"Where were you guys huh? Why were you two, Sergio, and Shawn missing?" Jessica asked while holding all of her stuff close to get chest. I rolled my eyes.
"Okay, guys Just because we weren't here and they weren't here doesn't mean we were weren't them. Y'all just worrying to much. It's only the second day of school calm down." Melanie said in a tone. Melanie gets really pissed when they ask to many questions.
"Calm down?! You guys are about to hang out with the baddest señors in school!!" Kathy said seriously.
"Just because they're bad doesn't mean we will turn out bad. You guys can't choose our friends! Okay?!" Melanie said pulling me
away. I took my stuff to my locker and grabbed my bag.
"I don't know why they're acting like we're bad or something. Like we're really not. I mean we're really good friends with them." I told melanie.
"Even though we've been having a crush on both of them since like last year." Melanie said. We both laughed. I shook my head while smiling.
"But this is like the first time they've talked to is." I said.
"Hey how about you and jenny stay at my house tonight? And we can have a girls night?" Melanie said.
"Yeah, I have to go home first, and ask."
"Okay,text me! Promise?!"
I put my right hand up and said "I promise." I smiled.
"Also don't forget to text Jennifer about this!" I said.
"Don't worry I won't!" She replied.
I walked to the car and got in.
"Rebecca why were you late?!"
