"Mikeeeeyyyy, mikkkeyyyyyy, I lub vvyooouu" luke slurred with a sloppy smile on his face, closing his eyes and snuggling into michaels side, wrapping his arms around other's waist. Michael just shook his head and sighed, a sad smile adorning his face. this had been happening a lot lately, Luke getting drunk and Michael having to be responsible for once to get Luke back to the house. It had started around two months ago...exactly the time he decided it was time to tell his band mates he was gay. In Michael's brain he knew that it was his fault Luke was being like this. It was almost as if they didn't know how to act around each other anymore. Gone were the random cuddles or playful flirting. The only time the old Luke came back was now....when he was very very drunk.

It was like a never ending cycle. Every time that Luke said he loved Michael in his intoxicated state a piece of Michael's heart seemed to chip away because he knew Luke could never truly reciprocate his feelings, the feelings that Michael had desperately tried to bury for so long.

Michael payed the taxi driver as he managed to pull Luke out of the taxi and drag him into the house, struggling the whole time because of how tall and lanky Luke was. Michael managed to get him to his bedroom as Luke stumbled onto the bed almost immediately passing out again.

Mikey proceeded to tuck Luke into his bed as he looked down at him again with that same sad smile. Michael knew that he loved Luke quite a lot and sometimes he just wished things were easier. Sometimes it was almost better to be with drunk Luke because at least he could be himself again, unlike in the next morning when Luke would go back to being another boy that Michael didn't even seem to know.

Luke was letting out unflattering snores as Michael leaned down and pressed a kiss to Luke's temple, just waiting for the day when Luke would understand, and maybe, just maybe love him back.
