Chapter 1: My So-Called-Mate?!?!?!?

My name is Abby. I am the head cheerleader of Woodrow Wilson high school. Even though I am head cheer captain, I am not that popular, and that makes people furious. I hear them talking behind my back all the time. Even the quarterback of the team, Jason Collins, wants to be with me, but I have rejected him thousands of times.

I know he is my mate, and it kills him to not be with me, but I can't trust him. I have seen him with countless women before. He is one of those people that will be flirting with you one second and then be flirting with someone else the next. He is considered the 'bad boy' of the school. And girls are always all over him. It makes me so mad!!!

I'm getting off topic though. Anyways, I Abby May James have a pretty good lifestyle. I live in a nice 3 story house off the Galveston Bay in Texas City, Texas. My parents travel around all the time, so they gave me a credit card with no limits. So, I went out and bought a 2 door jeep wrangler. I know it's not much, but it's my dream car.

I live in a town where werewolves were not noticed. If we were, then we would become a science project. But I like being a werewolf. It comes in handy sometimes. So far, my parents have just left to Washington D.C, then thy said that they were going to Maine, then New York. So that means they will be gone for the next 8-12 months.

I am an only child and have a lot of responsibilities when my parents are away. For example, I have to cook and clean for myself, make sure the house is clean every day, do my laundry, and make sure there is food in the refrigerator when my parents come home. I also don't host many parties. I mean, I like them,sure, but I don't like cleaning up after them.

"I can't believe there are only 2 weeks of school left!" That was my not-so-popular-best-friend Mia. Mia and I have been best friends since we were like 2 or 3. We were always together, basically inseparable. She would come to all of my cheerleading games and I would o to all of her soccer games.

"Are you even listening Abby?" "Huh, oh yeah..... What were you saying?" "I was saying I can't believe there are only 2 weeks of school left!" She practically yelled the last part to me. "Yeah, I know!!!" "Hello beautiful!" "What do you want Jason?" I asked a little coldly. He leaned and whispered, "you know what I want. I want my mate to be with me" in my ear. "Back off Jason. I told you that you need to prove to me that you can stay away from all those whores. Then we will talk."

Just then, one of his whores showed up and wrapped her hands around his neck. I heard him growl in frustration then he said," Stacy, just leave me alone! I don't know what your problem is or what any of your posses problem is, just leave me and my girlfriend alone and her friend Mia also." I was actually speechless as to what he had told her.

He wrapped one of his arms around my waist and lead me out of the school. I let him do that so that I can look behind me to see that priceless look on that whores face. Well, haters gonna hate!! As soon as we got outside, I wriggled out of his grasp. "Hey, what was that for babe?" "I told you Jason, I'm not your babe." "Yet" was all he had to say before we reached Mia's black ford mustang. "Bye Mia, see you tomorrow!" I said in a very chirpy voice.

"Bye Abby, bye Jason!!" She said in a chirpy voice also. Jason and I walked in silence until we got to my jeep. It was a sunny day, so the top was down on it. "Well, thanks for walking me to my car?" I said. It was more of a question than a statement. " no problem, anything for my mate." He said. " yeah, well, I better go." I said. "Wait, would you go on a date with me Friday night?" "I'll think about it." "Okay, I'm not going to push you into something you don't want." "Okay was all I was able to say before his lips were on mine. He kissed me lightly to where our were barely touching. "Okay, well, I really gotta go. Bye Jason."

Wow! How does he do that??? Not the kissing, but the part where I want him, but I can't trust him. Well, I guess it's just the mate bonding thing. I'm not so sure how that works because my parents are never home to explain and Mia is human, and of course, she is the only one that knows. Because I can trust her. Well I guess I better think about that date.....
