June 21st, 2030. "Hey dad! Did you hear about that guy in Connecticut last Thursday?
Mrs.Kennish was telling us about it today. From what she said he-" Eli was practically jumping up
and down. This was all he was able to get out before his father stopped his compulsive babbling.
"Take a breath! Geez child, you just got through the door! I haven't even been able to say a word
to your brother yet." Ethan had came through the door right before Eli and seemed to have a
slight dismay across his face. "So Ethan, how was your day?" "His Girly friend broke up with him
today" Eli said with a chuckle. "She wasn't my girlfriend! She was just..." Ethan paused. Trying to
get his thoughts together. "She was just a girl." He finally managed to get out. Eli started over
towards Ethan laughing, blowing him little kisses, and batting his eyelashes. "A very pretty girl.
That you used to walk with and talk with every day. I've seen the way you look at her." Eli realized
Ethan was getting frusterated. His muscles peering through his shirt and his veins beginning to
pop out. Ethan was NOT a guy to mess with.
Ethan was tall, extremely tall! About 6'5 and bench pressing about twice his weight. He
worked out when he got angry. Which was a lot. He had dirty blonde hair and bright green eyes.
Thin lips that held in perfectly straight teeth. You would think girls would be all over him. Except,
he was quite. He kept to himself most of the time. He was that one mysterious guy that everyone
thought was tough and stupid. But in reality he was a straight A student that would rather take
his anger out on a punching bag than someones face.
"Can I pleaseee get back to the important stuff?" Eli always had to have the attention. "We can
talk about your sweet little Audree another time." Audree, Audree Dawn. Just the mention of her
name could drive Ethan wild. Once again, Ethan's thoughts were interrupted. "We were in Mrs.
Kennish's class today and she started talking about the human brain, and how it can make you do
crazy stuff! Like according to this article in the news paper a guy in Connecticut went crazy and bit
someones arm off! The eye witness said that he was acting strange before. He got bit by some bug
or something." Eli was finally slowing down and taking short breaths between his words. "They
didn't know what the bug was, said they'd never seen anything like it before. Pretty weird, huh?"
His words paused as his scanned back and forth between his father and Ethan. Knowing neither
one of them knew what to say, he continued talking. Hoping to make himself sound more sane.
"Mrs. Kennish showed us a video of the interview. The guy's in an insane asylum now. Just 'till
they figure out more of what happened. They had him in the hospital but they decided to keep him
under closer watch. I mean, he did bite someone's arm off.." He trailed off pointing his head
towards the floor. Ethan was more focused on what caused the man to do it. So was his father.
"Wait.. Didn't you say that the man had been bitten by a bug?" Their father said. Eli answered
with a yes. "Did they describe the bug at all?" Ethan mentioned.
