CHAPTER FOURPeyton's pov:
When I arrived at school on Friday, I decided to head to my locker first, to get myself organised for the day. I wasn't looking forward to today as the Art test would be handed back; third period, and I know drama will go down once Leah finds out I took advantage of her test.I've also been very self conscious of the bruising and cuts on my head so this morning I covered it up with a bit of my sisters foundation hoping for the best, thankfully it turned put all right so hopefully all should be good... As for the bruises on my body, they're healing, slowly but surely; I just wore a baggy Mickey Mouse jumper, dark jeans, some boots and a stylish scarf. I guess having a fashion designer as a mother and a model for a sister comes to an advantage sometimes.
Once I got to my locker, I opened my lock with the code 1234, I know, pretty easy but I wouldn't of remembered anything else. I grabbed my Math and English books, shoved them in my backpack and then headed off to my first class.
Once I get to English the teacher, Mrs Everly, asked everyone for their homework. I never do my homework... But I hardly get in trouble for it. Everyone groaned in annoyance as I just sat there with my head down. Students then handed their homework forward. I pretended to hand mine in and then went back to my seat to wait till the boring lesson ended.~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
It was near the end of break, the past two lessons flew by really quickly. During break I was sat with Mae under our little hangout, It's just a spot under this one tree outside the back of the schools football field. Mae is quite popular but she usually pushes her popularity aside to hangout with me because I'm her bestest friend in the world!Sometimes she has to go off to some sort of cheer practice instead of sitting with me but I'm okay with that. She always used to try get me to try-out for the cheer team but I think she's finally given up now, in realisation that I'm not going to try-out. Cheer leading isn't really my thing, I used to do gymnastics so I'm still, kind of flexible, but I quit after I broke my wrist doing a back tuck, I vowed I would never do that again...
Once the bell rang, I headed to Art. The class I was dreading the most. Once I got to Art, I sat in my usual seat to the left of the room, I got my books out, put my bag under the desk and then leaned on the desk trying keeping a low profile so Leah wouldn't give me death glares or threaten me throughout the lesson.
20 minutes into the lesson after we got our tests back, I received a scrunched up peace of paper on my desk, I looked around to see who threw it but everyone had their heads down. After a while of glancing around the room I decided to open it to see if it has a name or anything on it. Once I opened it up I saw a note in really neat writing:
*Peyton,
I know this is weird but it could also be sweet, you don't know who has written this but if you want to find out, head to the janitors closet 5 minutes after lunch has ended.
Ps. I think you're cute when you're biting.
Love, your secret admirer.*
I glanced around again to see if anyone was laughing as it could have been a joke, but every one still had their heads down. Cautiously, I scrunched the paper back up, put it in my pocket and proceed to do my work.
After class, I rushed to the cafeteria and sat opposite Mae.
"Guess what just happened..." I said weirdly
"What?" She asked as she stared down at her phone, I snatched the phone out of her hands so she will pay full attention to me.
"Hey, I was using tha-!" Mae squealed in annoyance.
"Someone sent a mysterious note to me in class today" I start, cutting her off.
"What do you mean?" She asked curiously, I then took the note out if my pocket and gave it to her. "Wow, are you gonna go!?" Mae practically sang in excitement after she had read the note. "I mean, You have to go! Actually this is kinda weird, are you gonna go or not!?" She exclaimed.
"I don't know, probably considering I got Chemistry next and then Maths last, my two least favourite subjects." I stated.
"Haha okay, well good luck and tell me everything, I'm still staying round yours tonight, right?" She asked with a smile.
"Yeah, and then we'll go to beach tomorrow with whoever." She nodded and we went to get lunch from the buffet bit. The bell rung 5 minutes after we finished our lunch and I started contemplating whether to go or not.
My curiosity decided to get the best of me (as usual) so I decided to go. Which I thought was a good idea but apparently not, as once I got there I didn't see anyone around. Maybe they want to meet in the actual closet bit? Maybe they're late? Wait no they can't be if I'm already 10 minutes late... Maybe the got bored of waiting and didn't think I'd show up? So many possibilities...
