Every freaking guy thinks he can change me just because we fool around every now and then. Newsflash buddy I won't ever change. Not for you, your buddy, or anyone else for that matter. Who did he think he was telling me I couldn’t do something? My dad?
Ha, that's a joke. My Daddy would be very proud of me. In fact he praised me for it. Well I guess my dad would seeing how that's pretty much his whole business. Drink, sell, buy, and kill. That was his everyday routine. I mean I wouldn't expect it to be any different being the top dog of the gang world.
No one, and I mean no one messed with him. The only person who could was my mother. I never knew her but my father named me after her. Mikayla Amelia Jones. The first name my mother's, the middle names my grandmother's a.k.a. his mother, and the last name his.
He told me he named me that because they were the two most important women in his life. And from the hazel in my eyes to the blonde of my hair I was the perfect mix of the two. I had my mother's hair, bone structure, literally a spitting image. But then there were my hazel eyes like his. He inherited them from his mother.
Anyways back to my problem. Greg, a guy I was fooling around with, threatens me, me, of all people. He threatened to tell the police about everything that I do on my Friday evenings after her leaves for the night.
I get all dolled up, go to the club, find someone interested, let them take me home, knock them out, rob them, and have Daddy clean my slate so I never get caught. Although the police today are helplessly lost not knowing who could kill all these people.
No one ever suspects us. My daddy is a very powerful and well-respected man, both inside and out of the gang world. He's known as one of the most eligible bachelor. And he shall remain one until the day I die. Ever since my birth he has told m everything about her.
She was kind, caring, beautiful, sassy, everything wrapped into one. Every night before I went to bed he would tell me a story about her. I only remember one. It was how they met. I never thought that my mom, a straight A bookworm would fall into or even catch the eye of my daddy, the social out-cast, and the bad boy, the boy every girl wanted.
When I was old enough to understand how my mom died I felt guilty for taking away something so precious to my daddy. I blamed everything on myself because how I saw it, everything was my fault. If I weren’t born my daddy wouldn't be a widow. He would have a wife. Someone who would love him unconditionally, not because of who he was on the outside, but for the inside.
He cradled me in his arms for three hours straight to try and calm me down. During those three hours I never stopped trying to get out of his grasp. What he said to me is what made me stop.
Never, and I mean never think it's your fault your mommy is gone. We knew going into this there was that risk of loosing her, you, or the both of you. I promised her before she left us that I would love you enough for the both of us. I can't loose you Mikayla, half of my heart has already died, please stop trying to kill the other half, you. If you have any problems come to me with them. I don't care what they are I will do my damned best to get rid of them.
That's when I stopped fighting and started crying. I never thought about how much it would hurt him loosing the second love of his life. That's when we started getting really close. Now we're inseparable. He may not be a normal daddy work wise, but he was on another sense.
Everyday when I walk in the front door from school he greets me with a kiss to the temple and a hug. Says he's going off to work once he knows I'm going to be okay for the night. Sometimes when I bring over guys he silently judges them.
Yes I know that's a little weird, but I find it normal, almost comforting. Yes he knows what I do with most guys I bring home but as long as there is no bun in my oven the boy and I are safe from any harm from my daddy. Well either way I am but you get the point.
