Chapter 16

Kelly and Loren are in the car on their way to another interview.

Kelly: Ok so we have to get you to hair and makeup. You have a radio interview in an hour.

Loren: Then why do I need hair and makeup?

Kelly: Because you never know who will have a camera and if someone got the wrong shot then fashion police will eat you alive.

Loren: Ok. Fine.

She enters the room and sits in the makeup chair. Kelly starts looking through her phone.

Kelly: Kelly and Michael want you next week to preform and to interview. We'd have to leave here the day after tomorrow.

Loren: You promised me time off!

Kelly: But Loren this is great press

Loren turns to face her. The makeup and hair artists continue working

Loren: I've done enough press Kel. Please, I would really like to just relax and spend time with my family.

Kelly: Ok, so you do Kelly and Michael and then you can have one week.

Loren bites the inside of her mouth

Loren: Let me talk to Eddie and I'll let you know

Kelly: I need to know ASAP Loren.

In a somewhat harsh tone Loren says

Loren: Ok Kelly. Let me finish getting ready and I'll see you after.

Kelly: Ok. Oh and a little more eye shadow please. I want her eyes to pop.

Loren rolls her eyes

Loren: Goodbye Kelly!

She leaves. Loren calls Mel while still preparing.

She tells Mel how Eddie is trying to get rid of Kelly and how she is beginning to get to her as well.

Mel: I don't blame him. I mean she did start your career in ways but she has also made you do a lot of things you'd never even begin to want to do.

Loren: Yeah but she is still a great business woman and I just feel somewhat guilty if I just leave her

Mel: She will be fine. She'll find another client in no time. You just have such a big heart and I don't want that to cloud your judgment.

Loren sighs.

Loren: Ok. Thanks Mel. I'll text you when I'm done. Go listen!

Mel laughs

Mel: I'm already sitting in my car.

Loren now laughs.

Loren: Love you.

Mel: Love you too. Go kill it!

They hang up. Loren leaves for her interview.

Cut to the interview:

Loren does a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest. They are sitting in the studio.

Ryan: In the studio with the always lovely Loren Tate. Her and her boyfriend Eddie Duran's albums just released two days ago and have already sold over one million copies. It must be nice to be able to share those experiences together.

Loren: It really is. To have the guy you love there with you and helping you through obstacles and vice versa, it is really amazing. I'm out here to support him for his first show tonight actually.

Ryan: So sweet. Now you guys have a few songs written for one another on here. When you wrote your songs for each other, did you immediately tell the director of the videos "no this is about Eddie so he needs to be in it."?
