Your POV:
After winning the NWSL championship with Boston, I prepared with the national team for World Cup qualifying.
It was a few months away. We were also getting ready for Rosa's 1st birthday.
"Babe!" Ally yelled.
"Yeah?" I said.
"Can you come here." She said.
"Of course!" I got up and went to our room. "What you need beautiful?"
"Can you zip this dress?"
"Sure." I walked over to her and zipped it.
"Good it fits."
"Of course it does. Why are you trying dresses on though?"
"Me and the girls were invited to this event. We're gonna preform its all for charity."
"Oh that sounds fun. Who's gonna watch Rosa?"
"Maybe you can take her?" She said. "Christie is now one of the coaches and Abby's there too. They love that little angel."
I sighed. "I don't know."
"Plus Amy is close by to camp. She'll watch her."
"No I'll take her. Amy's got her hands full with Ryan." I laughed.
At 9 years old Ryan Shilling was quite the handful. I felt bad for ARod at some times but thankfully for her he's in love with soccer.
"He's is a wild child."
"He got the energy from his mom." I laughed.
"MAMA!" Rosa yelled from her room. I walked in.
"Baby girl!" I smiled. She giggled and looked at me. "What you screaming about?"
She threw her little soccer ball that Ashlyn got her at me. "Tricks!"
"Now?"
She nodded. One thing she loved was watching me juggle the ball. When Tobin visits I'd make her juggle for Rosa till she got bored. So basically Tobin was at it for a while.
"Only for a little. I need to pack for camp okay?"
"Okay."
After about 10 minutes of juggling, and failing to juggle the ball, I stopped. "I gotta pack now." I bend down near her. "You're gonna come with me this time. Or do you want to stay with Aunt ARod?"
"YOU!" She threw her hands up.
"Alright." I smiled. "Come with me." I picked her up and brought her to my room.
"Rosa!"
"Mommy!" She said as Ally took her.
I quickly packed for myself, and Rosa's small bag.
We ate dinner and watched a movie till Rosa fell asleep.
"Think she'll play soccer too?"
"If she wants too." I said. "I'll be happy no matter what she does."
"We're good parents." Ally laughed.
"Yeah the best."
