A black streak of fur went by my ice blue eyes as I dodged the attack. The black wolf lunged at me, but I effortlessly threw him off and into the bushes near by.

My name's Silver, and that black wolf I'm fighting? He's my mate, Scar. We're having a practice session. I heard a chuckle from the hedges. "Is that all you got?" He stood up and smirked his playful smile, his red eyes glowing from the darkness.

"No, you wanna see more then?" I joked around and smiled playfully. "Sure, give me all you got." I leaped at him, a silver slash in the pitch black night. I grabbed him with my outstretched paws and we went tumbling down a hill.

Laughing the whole way down, we stopped at the bottom as we looked into each other's eyes. His red eyes flickered, as my light blue eyes sparkled in the moonlight.

My ear twitched as I heard a field mouse scrambling in the decayed leaves. I looked up at the moon as my pelt grew brighter, then back to Scar. I smiled and got up, brushing myself off from the tumble. I then dashed off into the tree line.

"Meet ya at the den!!" I called over my shoulder as Scar disappeared from sight.

Before you know it, I'm already at the den way before Scar. I smile to myself in my head. I look around, my eyes adjusting to the brightness of the moonlight. I see a rabbit hop off in the distance, as I glance over at the entrance to the den.

"Everyone must be sleeping..." I mumble to myself as I crawl into the small cave and find my spot in one of the dark corners of the den. I settle down, and lay my tail neatly beside me as I wait for Scar as I listen to the soft breathing of the others.

When I open my eyes, it's still nighttime. I look over and Scar is sleeping by my side, his muscles moving up and down with the rhythm of his breath. I lick his muzzle softly, then lay my head on my paws and close my eyes, drifting back to sleep quickly.

"Silver...Silver wake up!!" My eyes flutter open as I see a black, blurry figure up close to my face, as it stares at me with the most intriguing red eyes I've ever saw. "Good morning..." I mumble, as my vision becomes clear. "We have to get up, everyone's outside." He whispers quietly in my ear. I nod as we both make our way out of the den.

I look around, seeing Graphite, (the Lead Alpha and my dad) Twilight, (my big sister and the female Low Alpha) Vannity, (my adopted sister and the female High Alpha) Saber, (the mate of Vannity and the male High Alpha) and Arcane. (the mate of Twilight and the male Low Alpha) Twilight smiles at me, as I take my place beside her, as Scar takes my place beside me. The gathering begins. "There has been an intruder at the Eastern Wolves territory, and we have believed that they stole more food from us in the middle of the night. Our members have not been able to locate them exactly, but we found a faint trail that lead from our territory into the Eastern Wolves. It stank of Eastern, and we decided to send more patrols around the border." He dismissed us with a flick of his tail, as a wave of whispers filled the clearing. "Ugh I'm so tired from the patrol yesterday, I don't think I can stand one today." Arcane whines in his joking way, as we insult him playfully. "You're always tired and lazy!! Brighten up a bit!" Twilight yips as she bumps her mate in the side with her shoulder. "Okay, watch this!!" He laughs as he pounces on her, as they roll by in a tumble of fur. Scar and I roll our eyes, and move on.

We nudge our way through the crowd of fur and noise, as I come upon my dad. "Father, who is going out on the patrol today?" I bark, looking up at his tall, dark figure. "We don't know yet, but we'll need only some of our Betas to work that out. You are free to go because I needed you yesterday." He nods, as I start to walk off. "Tell me when you get it figured out!!" I yell over my shoulder as Scar walks over towards his "guy group" with Storm, (the Kappa, or Lead Hunter) and Arcane.

I get kind of bored with all the commotion and craziness, so I go off to go wander in the woods. I let my paws take me, so I'm not paying attention. When I come back from my daydream, I realize that I'm at a creek. I stop at the bank to sit, and I look down at my reflection. It shows a silver wolf with breath-taking ice blue eyes. I shake my head, and touch the water with a claw. Ripples appear along the surface, spreading out widely, until it reaches the other bank. I sigh, as the ripples make tiny waves. I get up, and walk on in the forest, looking around at bright birds flying, or a squirrel running up a tree.

It's late afternoon when I return, and I noticed that half of the pack is out on patrol. I trot over towards a rock in the sun to lay down on. As I rest, I close my eyes and let the bright light warm my fur.

I wake up to an odd darkness, and a drop of water splashing my nose. I sit up quickly and shake my head. I look up, and the sky is a dark gray. I roll my eyes and get up, shaking my pelt off from the dust. It starts to rain quite a bit, and I dash to the den. As I stand in the entrance, soaking wet and freezing, I glare at all my pack mates with a playful/mad stare. "Who left me out in the rain?" I chuckle, scanning over the heads of everyone. "Me!!" Twilight barked. I wagged my tail, and laughed. I then launched myself at her and tackled her playfully, much to the amusement of the pack.

We waited out the storm, telling jokes and singing songs most of the time. We also played games and told wonderful stories. It was fun in the pack. The most fun I've ever had actually.
