The Tale of a Fox [Pokemon Short-Story]

This is dedicated to my bestie, Sasaui, for her birthday!! I'm late, I know, but I had magazine priorities... >_< But this is the info page that everyone should read before getting to the actual story (when it's up).

This is considered a little side-special to the main Pokemon story involving these trainers: Sasaui and Destiny. I don't have a name for the main story yet, as it is still under the ropes. The region is fanmade (owned by me) and called Kigen (meaning: Origin). It's a region comprised of different known Pokemon living on it.

Sasaui and Destiny (may come up with different names, it depends, if anyone has suggestions let me know!) are pretty much based on me and Bre2k9. There's some differences in origin, but personalities are about the same. They're childhood friends, and when they were ten years old, they adopted their partners. Sasaui took a liking to Shinx, a Pokemon who had been abandoned when disaster hit. At the beginning, he stuck to himself and didn't trust anyone, but through the years he's come to trust his master and open up to her and be himself. Sasaui nicknamed him "Light" because she saw he needed a light in his life.

Destiny adopted Vulpix instantly when seeing how troubled the little fox was. The rescuers themselves didn't know much about what happened to Vulpix, only assumed that he and his whole family had been targeted by the evil organization growing in Kigen. He had been found alone and barely alive, since then he's been in much the same shape as Shinx. Though the years, he's grown a bond with his master and been able to feel happy again - though his past is something he can't get over fully.

Sasaui and Destiny didn't set off on their adventure until Sasaui turned fifteen (with Destiny already sixteen). Sasaui's goal is to make it all the way to the Pokemon League and become the Master of Kigen. Destiny was always soft at heart and wished for nothing more than to learn about the world, grow, and take care of Pokemon. She aimed for a greater understanding through their travels, and aided her friends whenever necessary. (Think: Brock - only not a womanizer xD)

Since it may or may not be explained in the story, here are the girls' looks: Sasaui has an average build with dark purple hair that usually stays up. When she was fourteen, she put an electric yellow streak in her bangs (for Shinx, she said). Her skin is slightly tanned and she has bright brown eyes. She likes to wear hoodies and jeans. Destiny wears her medium-length curly hair down, it being red-pink (Amaranth) in color. Her skin is pale and eyes a serious turquoise. She likes to wear ruffled shirts with long-sleeves and regular pants.

Since this takes place sometime during their journey, they already have some Pokemon with them.

Destiny has two - Vulpix (who she likes to call Vulpy sometimes), and Dratini.

Sasaui has three - Shinx (Light), shiny Zubat (Zero), and Riolu (Rogue).
