It was a festive day. A day where everypony gathered 'round with friends and family to give thanks and enjoy their day. At least...that's how it is for most pomies. It's different for these six.
~Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash~
"C'mon Pinkie!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "We'll be late if we don't hurry up with this pie!" "Hey, you can't rush perfection," Pinkie told her cyan friend. "Just about ten more minutes." "Well we have to be there in five!" her friend yelled. "Yeah, yeah."
As soon as the timer went off for the Pumpkin Pie that was cooking in the oven, Rainbow Dash had rushed to get it out of the oven, but she burned her hooves in the process.
"Ow!" she yelped in pain as her hooves started turning a bit red. "This is what happens when you rush," her friend told her as she tried to blow air onto her front hooves in hopes they would cool down. "Whatever," Rainbow said. "Just get the pie and let's go!" "Okie-dokie-lokie!" the pink pony had replied.
Pinkie grabbed the pie and put it on top of her mane so it wouldn't get messed up. As Rainbow flew out of Sugarcube Corner as fast as her wings would let her, Pinkie had only trotted along, seeming as slow as a turtle in Rainbow's perspective.
Once the cyan pegasus had realized she had left her friend behind, she flew back to see her only trotting at normal speed. "Pinkie! Come on!" Rainbow had shouted to her from above. "Huh?! What was that?!" Pinkie had responded, not seeming to had heard Rainbow's call.
Rainbow Dash had suddenly swooshed to the ground in a matter of seconds and the pink pony was soon on her back! "Woo hoo!" she shouted in excitement. "This is so much fun!" The pegasus didn't respond and kept flying onward.
~Applejack and Fluttershy~
"Come on Flutters," Applejack had told her shy friend, "this ain't nothin' new. We do this every year and every time we do this, you have to end up cryin' and beggin' me not to do this in a puddle of tears." "B-b-but, they don't deserve to be slaughtered and cooked just because of some holiday!" Fluttershy cried as tears ran down her face.
Applejack sighed heavily and picked a pig up from her mouth and put it on her back as Fluttershy had kept begging her country friend to not to take her beloved pig to the slaughter house. "Applejack! Please!" she pleaded.
"Fluttershy, if you're so worried about your animal friends, then why don't ya'll stay home or somethin'?" Applejack suggested. "But I have to see my friends on the holiday! It's just that there's no need to hurt a poor innocent creature to celebrate!" Fluttershy replied. "Well tell that to the ponies who created this holiday," the orange pony remarked, making her friend worry about the pig more than needed.
"Please don't k-kill him!" she continued to beg, her how being a complete mess. "Can't we just bring apple cider or something?! Please?!"
Applejack groaned in annoyance and walked on towards the slaughter house to kill the pig that had been completely calm the whole time on her back. "Flutters, just let me do this," she told her friend bluntly before galloping toward the slaughter house.
"Applejack, wait!" the yellow pegesus had called before being locked out of the slaughter house and left to cry at the door for her poor animal friend.
~Rarity~
"Opal, tell me what you think," she told her white, fancy cat. The cat replied with a, "Meow," and Rarity continued on.
"Should I wear this?" she asked as she pulled out a scarlet red dress with leaves on the ends. "Or this?" she asked as she moved the dress out of the way with her magic and brought out a fancy yellow hat with turkey feathers on it, which was a rare thing sick Ponyville didn't have turkey.
Her cat Opal only meowed and walked away. "Opal!" the unicorn whined. "Ugh! You're no help at all!"
She brought the dress back out and looked at it with the hat and go an idea. "OHH! I'LL WEAR BOTH!" she shouted in excitement as she put the dress and hat on. "Oh yes, yes!" she admired at her newest creation.
"Now to get on over to Twilight's," she told herself as she proudly walked out the door in her newest outfit.
~Twilight~
"What's taking everypony so long?!" she asked Spike frantically as she checked the time again to make sure she wasn't off. "Uh, maybe they're just late," her dragon assistant Spike had told her.
"Not all of them! There's just no way! Maybe they all forgot to come, or maybe they had celebrated Thanksgiving somewhere else, or-"
"Calm down Twilight," Spike reassured her. "They're just late. That's it!" "Okay, okay, fine!" the alicorn had replied worriedly, still concerned about her friends.
What if they all forgot where I lived, or what if they all ditched me, or worse! What if they didn't want to celebrate Thanksgiving with me?!
All of these thoughts caused Twilight to start hyperventilating, which caused her to feel light headed. "Twilight, you need to relax," Spike had told her. "You're going to pass out if you keep hyperventilating like this. Read a book or something to keep your mind off of it."
The purple alicorn nodded to her assistant and stopped breathing so rapidly as she went to her kitchen to get all the food she had prepared.
She got dressing, sweet potato casserole, zucchini bread, deviled eggs, cranberry sauce, and potato salad out from the kitchen and used her magic to bring it out onto the dining room table.
She pulled out a book that she had been into for awhile and started getting deep into it.
"Oh, Mr. Sombra," she said to herself. "What a nice little 'play room' you have." She was currently reading Fifty Shades of Sombra, which had surprisingly appealed to her. I say surprisingly because Twilight wasn't one for violence and still had her virginity and most likely would for a long time.
She suddenly heard a knocking at her door which made her poof her book back to her library and squeal. She ran to the front door and opened it up to see all of her friends there.
"Happy Thanksgiving!" they all said at once, and then laughed later on.
Once they had all gotten situated, they had talked about many things, enjoyed great food, even Fluttershy did, and had a great time spending the holiday with each other.
Once the day had come to an end, everypony had left Twilight's castle and headed home for the night.
"Best Thanksgiving ever," Twilight had said before closing the front door to her castle.
