Chapter Seventeen

Kik, Death, and New York

*One week later*

Whitney's POV

Peter and I entered Heathrow, and walked towards the extra large board that listed flights and times for take offs. I scrolled down the list with my eyes, looking for New York, USA. Two flights were going there. One in 20 minutes and the other in 35 minutes. Peter grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the ticket desks.

"Hi. Two tickets to New York. Under the name Whitney Foster." Peter requested. The lady nodded and pulled a drawer out, in search of the tickets.

"How do you know we have tickets reserved?" I asked Peter. He handed me my phone, that I hadn't seen in almost two hours. So he had it this whole time. I grabbed it to see that Harry had texted informing us of the two tickets.

"Here you go. Enjoy your flight. Be safe." She handed Peter the tickets and he quickly dashed towards the gate the tickets were marked for. I ran, trying to keep up. As we made it to the ticket lady, he hand me my own ticket. First class. Of course.

"Here you go, enjoy your flight. Place your carry on bags in the storage next to your seat." She smiled, handing Peter and I our tickets back. New York, here we come!

Harry's POV

The lads and I have spent literally the past week trying to jog Louis memories of Whitney. I don't know if he's playing dumb or if he really doesn't remember her, but he needs to. Luckily, she has to fly to New York, then from there to LA before she sees Whitney. The lads and I want Whitney to be away from Louis. Who knows what her reaction will be when she sees him.

"Haz, want to go get a froyo?" Louis pops his head into my room. I look up and nod. Anything to get out of this stuffy hotel. I've been in here for a few hours planning our next two weeks with Whitney and her cousin (whom's name I've learned is Peter). I grabbed a beanie and headed out the door.

"Where to?" I ask as I wave at Andy, signaling him to follow us. Louis shrugs.

"I don't care."

Andy led us the way to the nearest froyo place. Louis and I walked in comfortable silence, heads ducked, hoping not to get noticed. We slipped through the door and managed to not run into anyone.

"The usual please, Andy." I asked him and he nodded while we caught a table. Louis looked distracted, like there was something on his mind. I peered at him for a bit, his eyes looking out the window, oblivious to everything going on.

I watched his eyes blink, his face expressionless. I can't help but wonder if he is thinking about Whitney. He's always wanted to be an actor and he could be trying to make his debut now. I shook my head. He wouldn't do that. He would at least tell us. Right?

Andy set our froyo on the table and I thanked him as he went to find a table of his own. I set Louis' in front of him but he didn't notice. Still oblivious to the world. I followed his eyes out the window. It landed on a billboard that had the five of us on it, something about the album. Someone must've missed a billboard.

"Louis?" Nothing. "Louis? Hello? Louis!!" I wave my hands in front of his face. He moves his face away from my hands and raises an eyebrow.

"What was that for?" He questions, finally noticing his froyo that was starting to melt in the cup. I sighed.

"You were off in another world. I called your name but you didn't respond. Are you okay, Lou?" I spoon a bit off froyo, and place it into my mouth. Louis hesitated. That's a first.
