I open the large glass doors into work and go up to the front desk.
"Hello Megan, Mr. Carlson will see you in room 136." She said not even bothering to look at me.
"Okay thanks." I said emotionless.
I walk up the long, marble staircase up to the second floor and take a left into his room.
"Hello Megan." He said sipping his tea.
"Hi Mr. Carlson." I said taking a seat.
It's almost like I was back in school, in the principles office.
There were two large, leather chairs, a large wooden desk with my bosses name on it. There was also a shelf with pictures of the office building achievements. It was honestly just a stereotypical office.
"So, we need you to take in this job. It offers a lot. You will get thousands of dollars and its a almost 24/7 hour acting job." He said smiling.
"Wait so I never leave work?" I questioned.
If I never left work I would probably shoot myself honestly.
"No, you are pretending to be someones girlfriend. All you have to do is pretend to be seen together a lot and then you can go home and do whatever you do by yourself. But sometimes we are going to be making him stay with you." He said sounding like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"What the fuck. You can't buy love." I said annoyance laced in my voice.
"Well some say that, but our company has a lot of money, as you know. So actually we can do whatever we want." He said.
"We will pay you more. We will even buy you a first class plane ticket, there and back, to see your family and stay with them for a week and a half." He said smirking at me, knowing I was going to give in.
My family and I are very close and have a good relationship. Obviously we aren't perfect and have days, even weeks, were we are falling out, but in the end we make up. Thank god we do because I honestly have no clue what I would do without them.
"Alright fine. When do I meet the kid?" I asked rolling my eyes.
"Tomorrow." He said sternly.
"Okay have a nice day Mr. Carlson." I said getting out of the chair and walking towards the door.
"You too Megan, see you tomorrow." He said.

i know they arent big chapters because that gives me more time to update and make it as good as I can. i know its not even that good, but I feel a lot better about it that the last chapter.
