Once upon a time, there was a girl named Terry Guturo and her dad is a detective and every day when her dad came home she would ask him how his day was and then ask him if he had gotten a case and if he said, "Yes." She would ask, "What kind of case did you get?" Sometimes he would pause before answering her because he didn't know if he should tell her or not because he didn't want her to get hurt. Sometimes she would try to convince him that nothing would happen if he told her. But he wouldn't take any chances. So one day Terry went into her dad's home office and, went through his files, while he wasn't home and read all of his cases and Terry found some of them interesting and after she finished reading the files she tried to put them back as neatly as possible, so it wouldn't be as easy for her dad to know that she was in his office. While Terry was putting the files away noticed in her dad's office there was an old clock and it looked like a clock that was in her Great Great Granddad's pictures before he died. But then Terry got interrupted by the sound of the front door unlocking and she knew that it was her dad and knew that she would have to think fast, and she also knew that she didn't have enough time to run out of her dads office to make everything seem normal so she just hid under her dads desk and, when she heard him say, "Honey I'm home". She tried to make a distraction but in her thinking, she had gotten interrupted the phone ringing. Terry was relieved because didn't have to make up an excuse to her dad why she was in his office. While her dad was on the phone she ran out of his office. Went upstairs and then she went back downstairs and gave her dad a hug and asked him how was his day, then she was going to ask who was on the phone but, she didn't want it to seem like she was trying to be in her dads business even though she was curious of who was on the phone. But she wasn't as curios anymore, when her dad didn't look as happy as she thought he was when he came home so she asked what was wrong he said nothing he only said that he just wanted to be alone for a few moments. So on that note Terry just went outside for a few moments and while she was outside she had seen a baby turtle, Terry had ran to the baby turtle and picked it up and played with it until she got bored. Then she thought she should ask her dad if she could keep it until had gotten old enough to care for itself and then she remembered her dad saying that he wanted to be alone, then she just brung it inside and tried to find something that was suitable for the baby turtle (something that the turtle could fit inside of). Well when Terry went to see if her dad was okay he was in his office crying. She asked her dad what was wrong he hesitated for a while and then he said, "Terry your Great Great Grandad died." In a whimpered cry Terry asked, "How did he die?" Her dad hesitated because he didn't know how to tell her, so he just told her that he had gotten himself into something that he didn't tell anyone and this is the result. Terry had gotten upset with her dads words and said, "So what your trying to tell me is that its my Great Great Grandads fault for his own death!!! Your suppose to be his grandson and my dad not a criticizer, what kind of grandson and dad are you?! And aren't you suppose to be out there finding the person who did this? Terry said furiously. Her dad was clearing his face and said, "Your right but one problem the case is in North Carolina." Terry frowned and said, "Why wont you just go down there and help them solve the case." Her dad looked around the room and paused then said, "This clock use to be your Great Great Grandads." Terry was going to say that she knew but she didn't want to get into trouble with her dad and him asking her questions so she just went with it and said "It is". Her dads response, "Yes. It used to be his Granddad's but his granddad died in a car crash and in his will he was to give the clock to his grandson for safe keeping but, I never understood why it needed safe keeping. and when we were down there for the holidays he gave it to me and said that I should keep for a while so nothing bad will happen to it but, I don't get why he wanted me to keep it for safe keeping ....

Interrupted by Terry.

Maybe there's something inside the clock. Maybe they been saying "Keep it for safe keeping because, there's something in the clock." Terry said suggestingly.

Maybe your right because, it would be kind of weird just to be carrying around a old clock for generations. And I knew it was something about that clock because, every time that clock gets passed down to their grandson their granddad ends up dying either in a car accident or in something they got they're self mixed up in. explained Terry's dad.
Umm.. Dad are you
