*Hayes POV*
"Lauren we need to disappear, get your stuff and let's go" I said quickly as I burst through the doors to the apartment I shared with Lauren.
"Why? I like it here," she asked cluelessly
"Shit went bad with Miriam and we need to go," I said as I slid a hand through my hair
"What did you do? You were just suppose to get money so we could leave!" she said angrily.
"Well Miriam wasn't in the mood to give any up and last time I saw her she was unconscious under a tree at the park," my tone was getting sharper through all her questions
"Oh my god, you BEAT HER?! How could you lay a hand on a woman?" she said standing from the couch to face me.
"SHIT HAPPENS NOW GO GET YOUR THINGS!!" I shouted at her and I saw the fear flash across her eyes.
"Lauren, please just go pack a bag," I half whispered dropping my gaze to the floor.
"I'm not going anywhere with you. How can I know that you'll never do the same to me? How can I feel safe with you after what just happened?"
"Because I love you," I said looking into her eyes
"Yeah well you loved her once too and looked what happened, please leave this apartment and never come back. I love you but I will not be in a relationship with an abusive man," she said coldly.
I sighed and grabbed the bag I had started to pack. I walked back up to her and she wouldn't even look at me, all she did was point towards the door. I walked through the doorway and slammed it as hard as I could. I didn't need any bitch telling me how to live.
*Niall POV*
"Ni, Moops wants to talk to you," Alex said, bringing me back into reality from the dream world I had been in since I found the girl I have feelings for unconscious.
"Okay, see you in a bit," I said and walked into Miriam's room.
I went over to the chair beside her be and sat down, her big brown eyes on me the whole time.
"Niall," she spoke clearly and I looked at her, "Thank you for, you know, saving me." she said as her eyes started to water.
"You're uhh, welcome" I replied awkwardly.
"Was it bad?" she whispered as she looked down at her arm that had tubes running from it to machines. I nodded in response and she looked over to me again.
"Was he gone when you, f-found m-me?" she asked. she bit her trembling lip to try to keep from crying.
"Yeah, he was gone."
She took a deep breathe and continued to ask me questions.
"What were you doing in the park? I thought you were suppose to be on tour,"
"We had a little break and Harry and I decided to visit our girls," My eyes widened as I realized I just called Miriam my girl.
"Oh," was all she said as her gaze snapped over to me.
"Did you um, get the letter?" I asked looking at the episode of SpongeBob that was playing. at first I thought she hadn't heard me but then she answered.
"Yeah I did, and Niall?" she said I looked over at her, "The feeling is very mutual," she said quietly as she blushed.
"Really?" I said as a smile grew on my face. Our eyes connected, this time not breaking the intensity as she continued.
"Yes really, I was going to meet up with Hayes to end it after all of his cheating because the letter made me realize I was falling fast and hard for you and I would never cheat like him. Then I was going to call you, Mr. Horan, and tell you everything but here you are,"
"Here I am indeed," I laughed and she joined in. "But I don't think you're ready for another relationship yet and I'm not ready to give you one either. I just ask that you give me the chance to prove what a real guy can be like, and if you like it then we can take it from there,"
"I would love that Niall, that you for being amazing," she said as she reached for my hand.
"Thank you Miriam, for being the girl of my dreams I've been waiting for. And thank you for giving me the chance to make you mine," I said then I brought her hand to my mouth and left a gentle kiss on the back of it.
*Harry POV*
I walked in the doors of the hospital and found my way to where Miriam was being held. I rounded the corner and saw Alex sitting in one of the chairs in the hallway with her head hung and her face in her hands.
I didn't say anything as I scooped her up and sat down where she was and set her onto my lap. She snuggled into my chest and sniffled some.
"They said she's fine to leave today," Alex said looking up at me with watery eyes.
"She's going to be okay, It's all going to be alright," I said as I wrapped my arms around her and rested my chin atop her head
"I know, it just brought back some stuff, ya know?" she whispered against my chest
"The people that hurt you are gone, I will never let them hurt you again. You're safe now" I assured her.
"I have no doubt that you'll keep me safe while you're with me. But what about while you're gone? What if Hayes comes back? I can't protect Miriam from him and I don't want people to find out about Gabriella." She rambled on and looked up at me again.
"Come back with us."
"What? Harry that's insane what am I suppose to do with my sister? It's not like she can handle traveling like that,"
"They have special facilities that can help her even more than you do, Alex."
"I can't just leave her at a place like that after she saved me harry!" she argued back
"She can get the 24/7 care that she needs. It would be better for her! You send her to a place like that during the day right? while you work?"
"Yes but that's different, that's like daycare, she's not in the year round program."
"She likes it there doesn't she?" she nodded "They have special people that devote all their time to people like Gabriella."
"I'll think about it but I'm not coming back with you as in tomorrow. Once Miriam is stronger and everything gets settled out some then we'll talk about it again."
"But you'll think about it?" I asked happily. 9 months with Alex by my side every day sounds like heaven.
"Yeah yeah Styles, but wont you get tired of dealing with me all the time?" she asked playfully
"We could be chained together for the rest of my life and I wouldn't mind, as long as you love me and I love you we'll make it through anything, right?" I said as I cupped her cheek with my hand.
"Right," she smiled and closed the space between our lips.
