I never meant for this to happen. Falling in love was definitely not part of the plan. I don't know how it happened. It's all my fault that I've left him behind, alone, for the rest of his life. In the beginning, I barely knew it was about to happen, it seemed like it went all too quickly. At the time, I was way too carefree, I had nothing to lose. Literally. When people say that they have nothing to lose, most of the times, even unknowingly, they would have everything. Everything that someone else didn't have, everything that someone else desperately needed. But he was all I wanted, and all I had. After it happened, after the day that had ruined everything for both him, and I, my days were full of penitence for leaving him behind, although it being something out of my control.
Oh, pardon my manners, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Jade Orient, and I made the biggest mistake of my life, yet the greatest moments, before my death. I had naturally mahogany red hair, roughly at my ear before my hairs abandoned my body (YES I MADE AN MCR REFERENCE HERE, DEAL WITH IT) and dark brown eyes. The rarest combination, they say. But I believe that there's a reason it was the rarest. It's not very pretty, anyway. I'm about 5'4, 20 years of age. I was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, the gross stuff is all up both of my legs and creeping it's way in my hips. I had just eight months to live.
My name is Jade Orient, and this is the story of how simply forgetting my phone at a supermarket led to the biggest mistake, yet the happiest last months of my life.
