Broken Promises

Prologue

The last words I said to him were "fuck you! Everything you told me was sh!t, fuck you!" I still can't believe that he cheated on me with Taylor Grant. She is the most popular girl in school, but wow, she is a witch! Caleb, Caleb, Caleb! Why am I such a fool? I'm so stupid even though everyone complements me on my smarts.
I suddenly started to break down, sobbing into my pillow. I'm staying at a hotel, so I have to be kind of quiet.
I felt so terrible, knowing that Caleb cheated on me with a filthy witch. Ugh! Our wedding was about to start. He was going to be dressed in the best tux. I was going to be dressed in a flowing baby blue dress. Our wedding song was going to be "All of Me." It was going to be the perfect wedding for to totally in love seniors. Maybe I was too in love to see how much of a jerk he was.
I try to shake my thoughts away, but they just come back. He was perfect, in every way possible. He only had one flaw, he's a total jerk! After my parents heard, they comforted me, well until they had to go on a business trip, that is.
I called up my best friend Marley to see if she could help.
"Rose? Are you ok? I heard about Caleb! He is a total ass! Can you believe that he cheated on you with Taylor?" Marley spoke really fast and seemed quite anxious.
"Mars, I'm not fine, as you can probably guess. Caleb is an ass, a fairly large one, as big as Niki Manja's fake ass!" I said with a bit of humor in the last part.
Marley laughed on the other line. "You can make any of your emotional situations better huh? That's what I love about you! You're so positive! Trust me, you'll have a new boyfriend in a snap and he'll be a great guy and you'll be happy."
"Thanks for the advice, Mars. I hope my next boyfriend will be my soulmate, you know, the person that we are meant to be with." I replied.
"Well, we are going to college so you can maybe meet him there!" Mars suggested.
"I need to get over Caleb still though." I said sadly.
"Just think of how much of an ass he is and then you'll be over it!"
"Well I'll certainly try that!" I said with glee.
