Emily's POVIt's Monday morning, the first morning of waking up to the sun and not from the nightmare. This feels great! It is 10 in the morning as I got ready for the day. As I sat down to eat my scramble eggs and bacon, I had this urge of going to school, an actual school and not being home-schooled.
"Ms. Anderson, Joe, how possible is it for me to start school?" I must have startled them with my question as they stopped their action. "Do you want to go to an actual high school?" Joe asked cautiously. I thought about it for a while instead of answering him. "I mean, for my last year of schooling, I should be able to experience what an actual high school is like, shouldn't I?" Right? "Yes, of course sweetheart," replied Ms. Anderson with a soft smile on her face.
"How soon can I enroll in Trenton High?" I asked, already set my mind to which school I wanted to go to. Joe looked on with a determined face and said, "I'll have to contact the school and get everything done today so that you can start tomorrow. How does that sound?"
Tomorrow? That soon? I'm so excited! I jumped off the chair and hugged both of them exclaiming my thanks a couple of times. After finishing my breakfast in a record time, I ran upstairs to my bedroom to start planning what I should wear for my very first day of school.
As I look in my walk-in closet, I was freaking out. I have so much clothes to wear, but I couldn't decide on anything. Good thing the internet has a lot of suggestion. I went online and searched 'school outfits.' While I look at each ensemble of outfits online, I look at my clothes to see if I have any of the same.
Sixteen minutes later, I found my first day of school outfit: Black legging, a grey undershirt, a warm flannel, a silver key necklace with a red and white converse. I'm going to tie my hair up in a high ponytail with minimal makeup. Now that my outfit is readied, I need to buy school supplies and a backpack. I sat at my bed with a pen and paper. I started to list them off so that I wouldn't forget a thing.

I looked over what I wrote and try to figure out what else I needed for school. Okay I'm set to go shop. I walked back downstairs to see if Joe is done so we could go shopping for school supplies. It's still weird to say that, I can't believe I'm going to an actual school. Joe was sitting in the living room, reading his newspaper, and sipping on his coffee. "Joe, can you drive me to get school supplies?" He puts down his newspaper, looked at his watch, looked back at me and nodded his head earning him a smile from me.After shopping for everything, we came home and put everything inside my room. I couldn't believe it's already 2:30 in the afternoon. I should visit Dylan and little Corey. I went downstairs to find Joe to drive me to their place. When we got close to their place, I saw a little coffee/bakery shop so I stopped Joe and went inside. It seems like a popular place since all the seats were occupied. The sweet and delicious breads were in a display case near the register.
As I was scanning them, a voice asked me, "Can I help you?" I looked up to answer him but was shocked to find Dylan in front of me. "What are you doing here?" came out of my mouth without thinking. Of course he works here considering the shop's logo is on his shirt and he has a name badge. He smile at me and gave me that are-you-serious-look. "Sorry, I was just in shock," I replied. "It's okay, so what can I do for you?" he asked with a smile. After getting over my embarrassment, I asked him to wrap up a cream cheese pound cake with 3 iced coffee and one vanilla milkshake.
