Chapter 14
I tapped my pencil repeatedly on the wooden desk, waiting for the bell to ring so that I could get out of this class.
I turned my head to Taylor who was seated at the front right desk, creating a side braid on her hair.
I turned my attention back to the teacher and sighed loudly.
"What was that Ms. Jones?" Mr. Young asked me
All the students in the class was now focusing on me.
"Nothing sir" I said and sat up straight
Mr. Young nodded and went back to teaching.
Once he turned his back to us, I slouched in my desk and placed my head down.
I closed my eyes, promosing to myself that I will wake up once that bell rings.
********
"Carrie Jones" I heard a deep voice say from above
I opened my eyes slowly and sat up.
I rubbed my eyes and yawned while stretching.
Once I gained my focus back, I noticed that everyone in the class was gone.
I turned to my left to face an angry Mr. Young.
I groaned as he slapped the detention slip on my desk.
"Sorry sir" I mumbled as I got my stuff, and my detention slip
I got up and walked straight out the classroom
- Lunch -
"Thank you" I said to the lunch lady as I took my lunch tray and began walking outside the cafeteria door to meet up with Taylor
Once I was out the door, I spotted Taylor under a big tree.
It's not our hangout tree. Our hangout tree is at the back of the school. This tree is new, they planted it during the summer.
I walked towards Taylor, and once I reached her, I sat down.
"Ugh.. Why didn't you wake me up before Mr. Young caught me?" I asked as I stuck in a straw in my orange juice
"He already caught you sleeping before the bell rang. He told all of us to leave the class" She said
I sighed and nodded. "Oh, okay"
"So... You didn't tell me why you weren't at school yest-"
"Hello ladies"
The both of us looked up to see who it was, and it was Cameron.
"Hey Cam, come sit" I said and patted on the grass beside me
I looked at Taylor and she raised a brow at me.
"Oh, um Cam this is Taylor. And Taylor this is Cameron. Now shake hands" I said with a goofy grin
The both of them looked at me weirdly and shook hands.
Once they were done shaking hands, they released.
"Anyways.. Carrie, you're supposed to tell me remember?" Taylor said
"Tell what?" Cameron interrupted as he bit a piece of his sandwhich off.
"About what happened yesterday because she wasn't at school" Taylor replied
"Ohh. I'll tell you what ha-" Before Cam could finish his sentence, I stopped him.
"I'll tell her myself" I told Cam
He nodded and put his hands up in defense.
"Alrighty then" He said as he continued eating his sandwhich
"Anyways, what happened yesterday was....."
- 15 minutes later -
After telling Taylor everything that happened, she was left speechless.
"Well, are you gonna say anything because the bell is about to ring soon" I said
Taylor I blinked a couple of times and then snapped back to reality.
"I have no words at the moment" She said
A few minutes later, the bell rang and we headed over to our next class.
"I'll see you later Carrie" Taylor said as she gave me a short hug and walked into her class
"See ya kitten" Cam said and waved bye before going into his next class
I rolled my eyes and walked into my next class as well.
