Brian's POV
Leena walked over to me just as I hung up. "So, uh, its definitely Letty," I sighed. "But it's — it's complicated."
"Letty's alive, that's all that matters," Leena smiled. "We have her back, Brian." I looked at Dom. "Go talk to him."
I walked to Dom. "She definitely saw you?" I asked.
"She looked dead at me, Brian," Dom replied.
"Maybe the Letty we once knew is gone," I replied. "Even though she's alive, maybe she's gone."
"You don't turn your back on family," Dom replied. "Even when they do."
I walked over to Leena who was sitting on a table. "And Brian!" Rome called at us. We looked at him. "When did you do this photo shoot?" I stuck up my middle finger at him. "I'm just playing, man. You know you're the prettiest blonde around here." Hobbs showed up with the lady cop, that works for Interpol. "Great."
"At least I ain't got an evil twin," Leena smiled. "She'll be twice as bad."
"I'll find you an evil twin," Rome replied.
"Lock it up," Hobbs sighed. "We got two things."
"First, this is one of the worst cities to commit a crime and second, we found what She's crew grabbed from Interpol," Leena replied. "There's street cameras on every corner and I suppose you have the flash drive with the footage."
"If she keeps doing that, I won't have a job," Hobbs replied.
"I'll stick to being a wife and a mother of two," Leena nodded. "The crew ripped off the databases of every location that houses the final component that they need."
"So where they at?" I asked.
"There are over two dozen of them around Europe," replied the Interpol official.
"But the list is only good for 96 hours," Leena nodded. "Both Shaw's and our crew have a four day window."
"Let's break it down," Dom nodded. "What do we know?"
"Custom engines, because of those flip cars," Tej nodded.
"Sequential transmission," Han replied.
"It's not a normal engine, turbo diesel," Leena added. "Like something in La Mans. It took all those hits and still stayed flat in the corners."
"Hydraulics," Rome chimed in.
"Or magnetic suspension," I replied.
"Who not only has access to the components, but can fabricate something like that," Han thought.
"Maybe a handful of shops in London," I nodded.
"Regular tuner shops aren't going to cut it on this one," Dom replied. "We're going to have to dig deeper than that. Han, Gisele, Roman, you're up."
"We find the guy who made that car, we find Shaw," Leena smiled.
"Let's go," Gisele replied, clicking here gun.
"I'll hell," said the Interpol official.
"Roger that," Hobbs nodded.
"And Tej, we're going to need cars without computer chips that can be overridden," I replied. "What we got out there last night doesn't compare for what's to come."
"Make sure they're fast," Dom nodded.
I let out a chuckle. "I got this," Tej smirked.
"Already on it, Dom," Hobbs sighed. "Contacted R&D at DSS."
"Let Tej handle that," I nodded. "It'll be interesting."
"I'll be over there, looking over these files," Leena nodded grabbing the files and going to the table.
"I'll help," I replied. I sat down with her. "You okay?"
"Fine," Leena nodded. "I don't understand how Letty isn't Letty." I looked at her. "She wouldn't shoot Dom out of nowhere." We looked at Dom and he was holding the bullet. "Go get your nerd on."
"Family, right?" I assured. Leena nodded. J walked over to Dom. "What you're looking at is a 5.45 by 18 FMJ Spitzer bullet. It's specific to one handgun, the PSM." I saw Leena smile. "Given the handguns are illegal in the UK, there's very few people that have access to that firearm. Now, Leena has a few things to say."
"If somebody wanted to, say, track down where I came from, it would be too hard," Leena smiled as she got up and handed a piece of paper to Dom. "Brian was a cop for a lot of years and with me learning criminal justice when I went to school, some things are taught similar to each other. Some habits die hard."
"A pawn shop," Dom chuckled. "Let's go check it out." We walked to the pawn shop and went inside. "Wanna take it from here Leena."
"Support on site, only," Lenna nodded.
"What do you want?" the owner asked.
"They say if someone's looking for a Russian gun, you're the man to see," Dom replied.
"Oh, they do, do they?" the owner asked, surprised.
The two guys that sat near the door stood up. One of the guys put his hand on Dom's shoulder, "What do you want, mate?"
"Bad idea," I signed. Dom took them both down and grabbed the owner through the open window. A guy was about to come through the door but I held the door and held a gun at the guy. "That might be a bad idea." I closed the door. "Go ahead."
"I'm looking for the owner of this," Dom replied holding up the bullet.
"About a week ago, a girl came in, bought guns, ammo, everything I had," the owner replied.
"Tough girl, dark hair?" Leena asked. "Mean streak?"
"Yeah, yeah," the owner nodded. "Word is, she's a street racer."
Dom knocked him out. We left and I changed the sign to closed. "Take care guys," I replied. We went back to headquarters. "Well, its Letty, alright." Gisele, Han, Roman, and the Interpol official showed up. "What the hell happened?"
"We met Dom's girlfriend," replied the Interpol official. "She's...lovely."
"Are you alright?" Hobbs asked.
"Yeah," she replied.
"Tej, the footage?" Hobbs asked.
"Everywhere Shaw's team is, the cameras are down," Tej nodded.
"That's a hell of a coincidence," Hobbs sighed.
"Go pay a visit to CCTV," Leena replied.
"Let's roll," Hobbs sighed.
Hobbs and the Interpol official left. "What is that?" Tej asked as he looked at the thing Han put on the table.
"It's a new toy for you," Han nodded.
"So, what happened?" Dom asked.
"She's goons showed up and started shooting up the place," Han sighed.
"But we got something big," Gisele nodded putting the phone on the table. "Braga, he's working with Shaw."
"What are you talking about?" I asked handing the phone to Leena. She plugged it into her laptop. "Seriously?"
"Phone's filled with coded payment transactions that lead straight to Braga's cartel," Leena replied.
"It makes sense," I sighed. "Braga was running Letty, now he's working with Shaw. It would explain how the two of them met."
